We had an amazing time at this hotel! We heard from many people that the Crowne Plaza has the best beds in Mexico and it was very true! The location was about a 10 min paloma drive from a market area which I thought would be an inconvenience, but
when we got there the area smelled of exhaust and was very very busy! The 10 minute paloma drive was worth it and our area was very quiet and private. The staff is what makes the hotel the best. The first night we made friendships that we will never forget- they made our trip that much better. (Ask for Ramon- he will make you a drink that we called "sexy Ramon" the whole week.) All staff were friendly and considerate and were able to get us deals for tours around Mazatlan. The only thing that caught us off guard was that we thought there was going to be 2 restaurants- but really there was only an outside and an inside part of one restaurant. However, we loved the food- the menu was wonderful and extensive and we never had a bad meal. The cooks even made us things off the menu- which was very nice! The all-inclusive option is worth the $18 a day- we saved a lot of money!

Booked on line, room was suppose to be the deluxe room.Needless to say got to hotel - not the deluxe room as shown on the site ( I had printed off the pictures) we booked our vacation based on the deluxe room photos.Went to front desk with the
[...] pictures and advised the guy this was not what we were expecting. His reply was more or less no way, you got the room you booked and paid for....these pictures are a suite. [...]Restaurant staff and bell boys great.

The accommodations were less than satisfactory: the bathroom sink was installed incorrectly, and not only could you not get your hands under the water (the water fell right against the basin), but the water then leaked all over the floor because
it missed the sink.
The shower also leaked all over the floor due to an "artistic" gap at the bottom where the glass didn't seal in all the water.
Food was poor at the hotel restuarant. The lobster bisque, I am sure (no exaggeration) was made from Bisquick batter. The food was awful (sushi and shrimp and the Bisquick soup), and I paid $40 to eat two bites and no more. They would not refund our money for this horrible meal.
Night 2, I decided to ask the front desk for a new room. The only offer they could give us was a room with the window broken out of it, which we declined.
By night 3, the front desk has to bring us a plunger because our toilet no longer flushes. Refund or not, I decided to leave this hotel with 3 additional nights already pre-paid for, and book a new reservation somewhere else.

Nightlife tip:
Short drive from hotel
This is not an ideal location if you want to leave the hotel. Nothing is in walking distance.
