This is a cheap made hotel, you know the fast and quick kind, no good quality in anything except the staff. Don't expect an ocean view terrace or balcony only suites have this. It's not the worst hotel in mazatlan but its defenetly not the best
one. It has a great lobby it's big and modern, defenetly good design, but after that everything it's blah!! The hotel it's located a bit far from down town or the board walk area but its quiet and that's why we chose this hotel, our toilet didn't work the first day and my brothers room air didn't work, we reported this issues and the staff took care of them immediately so that was nice, I went to the gym omg it's tiny tiny tiny 1 treadmill, 2 spinning bikes and a huge mirror it was old equipment not very good. We went out to diner down town and the traffic was bad!! So take a taxi the drivers know all the secret back ways to get down town on a Saturday night. We stayed on previous trips in the pueblo bonito emerald bay And its a big difference between them! So think when booking this hotel there are better choices closer to town that are better price and a short "pulmonia" ride from everywhere!

El presidio restaurant in down town you need a reservation o get in, so make sure you have one! It's very trendy so dress nice.
We had an amazing time at this hotel! We heard from many people that the Crowne Plaza has the best beds in Mexico and it was very true! The location was about a 10 min paloma drive from a market area which I thought would be an inconvenience, but
when we got there the area smelled of exhaust and was very very busy! The 10 minute paloma drive was worth it and our area was very quiet and private. The staff is what makes the hotel the best. The first night we made friendships that we will never forget- they made our trip that much better. (Ask for Ramon- he will make you a drink that we called "sexy Ramon" the whole week.) All staff were friendly and considerate and were able to get us deals for tours around Mazatlan. The only thing that caught us off guard was that we thought there was going to be 2 restaurants- but really there was only an outside and an inside part of one restaurant. However, we loved the food- the menu was wonderful and extensive and we never had a bad meal. The cooks even made us things off the menu- which was very nice! The all-inclusive option is worth the $18 a day- we saved a lot of money!
Booked on line, room was suppose to be the deluxe room.Needless to say got to hotel - not the deluxe room as shown on the site ( I had printed off the pictures) we booked our vacation based on the deluxe room photos.Went to front desk with the
[...] pictures and advised the guy this was not what we were expecting. His reply was more or less no way, you got the room you booked and paid for....these pictures are a suite. [...]Restaurant staff and bell boys great.
The accommodations were less than satisfactory: the bathroom sink was installed incorrectly, and not only could you not get your hands under the water (the water fell right against the basin), but the water then leaked all over the floor because
it missed the sink.
The shower also leaked all over the floor due to an "artistic" gap at the bottom where the glass didn't seal in all the water.
Food was poor at the hotel restuarant. The lobster bisque, I am sure (no exaggeration) was made from Bisquick batter. The food was awful (sushi and shrimp and the Bisquick soup), and I paid $40 to eat two bites and no more. They would not refund our money for this horrible meal.
Night 2, I decided to ask the front desk for a new room. The only offer they could give us was a room with the window broken out of it, which we declined.
By night 3, the front desk has to bring us a plunger because our toilet no longer flushes. Refund or not, I decided to leave this hotel with 3 additional nights already pre-paid for, and book a new reservation somewhere else.

Short drive from hotel
This is not an ideal location if you want to leave the hotel. Nothing is in walking distance.
