Discover the BEST WESTERN Posada Freeman in Mazatlan, located on Olas Altas Beach, in the heart of Old Mazatlan and close to the historic buildings of the 19th and 20th century. The BEST WESTERN Posada Freeman itself is a landmark built in 1944, the first high-rise 12 floors, in the Northwest region of Mexico. In Plaza Machado, museums, art galleries and The Opera House are within walking distance. Enjoy the different restaurants and bars nearby. Our 72 rooms offer city and ocean views. You will also enjoy the convenience of wireless Internet access available in all rooms including our lobby and meeting rooms. Arrangements can be made for golf, tennis, deep sea fishing, city and country tours, and many attractions and festivals. Mardi Gras festivities are at our door step with parades, fire works, music, dancing and non-stop fun. Mardi Gras is usually in late February or early March, over 100 years old, makes our festivities the largest and best of Mexico.

Nice hotel

This is not a Mexican ocean front resort. No pool scene, swim up bar, or lounge chairs in the sand. It's instead a old school hotel that happens to be in the best part of town. First, the beach is just across the street. But it is located in what the locals call "Mexican Mazatlan". Quiet, clean, and without the rumbling traffic and pollution in the "Golden zone", what the locals call "California Mazatlan". Also, the hotel is on the edge of the historic part of town and a short walk to the Muchado Square. Nicest part of town.

Sightseeing tip: Short walk from hotel

Walk through the old town and be sure to walk out to the ocean on the Avenue des Flores. Very cool.
