AMAZING trip!!
My boyfriend and I stayed here the first week of April and loved it! It had a great spring break feel and a good amount of young adults, but we also saw tons of families and older couples too. The staff is super friendly and helpful, always looking to help you out. There was tons of stuff to do every day, and the pool and beach are always inviting. Definitely one of the best all-inclusives in los cabos.

Make sure you book transportation to and from the airport/hotel at least 48 hours in advance. If you do it online through one of the shuttle services it's only about $15 a person, but if you get a cab there you'll pay at least $40!

SPRING BREAK SPOT
Your college and high school kids will love this place! There is always something going on. Fun for families also. Food was fine, pools were clean and the rooms were cleaned daily including a change of sheets. Staff was friendly and worked tirelessly. The entertainment crew worked hard to include everyone.

Beautiful location
Just returned from a one week stay at the Riu Sante Fe. The location is fantastic with a view of Land's End and El Arco right from the beach and pools. The grounds are meticulously maintained. Rooms and balcony are spacious but the beds are as hard as a rock. Nightly entertainment was a bonus with some good shows: Michael Jackson, Grease, Mama Mia, comedy shows. The beach is beautiful and chairs and umbrellas are complimentary. Beach vendors swarm on you as soon as you cross the roped off area, which is necessary to get to the ocean. This got annoying by the end of 7 days but they had neat stuff for a good price. I thought the buffet for dinner was disgusting, only ate there the first night. Took advantage of the specialty restaurants and ate at the marina the other nights. Steakhouse and Italian restaurants were the best. You need to get up early to get these reservations though, for sure by 7:30am, otherwise they were booked. The pool areas were nice but very crowded. Pool chairs were taken by 7:30am most days but no one actually sitting in them until noon. If you are a "chair saver" and leave, be warned the hotel staff will remove your towels. Chairs by the beach were much more accessible. Water taxi and water sports available right at the hotel but you will get a better price at the marina. Walk to the marina via the beach takes about a half hour but was an interesting walk. Flea market, shops and great restaurants are available all along the marina. The only negative I have for this hotel is that they're priced very well for an all inclusive and this is why they get all of the teens and twenty year olds here. Many were drunk and puking by noon, obnoxious and inconsiderate of others. We witnessed several that passed out and were carried off, we witnessed a young girl vomiting multiple times in the middle of the lunch buffet area (appetizing). I had to move from my spot twice because large groups surrounded us with their chairs and it seemed as though they were all trying to be the loudest at night. Two highschool students were caught doing it in one of the pools in the middle of the afternoon. This is NOT a place for young children. I will gladly pay more to stay elsewhere if I return to Cabo.

Family Vacation
Riu Santa Fe was an excellent resort for our group of 8, 4 adults and 4 children between 6-11 years. Rooms were great with the pull out shower, made it painless to bathe our kids and the 2 sinks really sped up bathroom time. Cleaners always left more towels than needed. The pull out clothes hanging bar in the balcony was excellent to hang all our wet clothes. Wish there were 2 of them. The fridge is stocked every other day with bottled water, pop, and beer. Riu Land was a disappointment. Not much there to do for our kids so we never left them. Lobby staff was very accommodating. Our original room was right by a main hall way therefore very noisy at night when the partiers come back, we asked and were moved right away (to a less noisy area, not necessarily quiet:(. Restaurants were very decent regarding food. However, found that the staff at the specialty restaurants somewhat rushed you so that they can prepare for the next seating time. Not at all in the Italian restaurant, but more in the Steak, Mexican and Asian restaurants and we ate twice at each of these since we stayed 15 days. Overall we really really like Riu Santa Fe. We liked it that it was so big, able to walk off all our all-you-can eat meals. Resort was extremely clean and excellently maintained... ....However, we would not go back because the only time we can go is at Spring Break and there were many many many spring breakers there. Management should have done a better job at managing them. They came back at all hours of the night and banged on doors and yelled and screamed. Basically had no respect for other guests whatsoever. Management should have reserved a couple of buildings for the young people and group families in separate buildings. We talked to other guests there and they all felt the same way. Our stay would have been much more pleasant had there been more security patrolling the buildings at night when the clubbers come back to control their behavior. We've been to a few resorts, they were all family oriented and did not allow spring breakers. After our stay at Riu Santa Fe, first time sharing with spring breakers, or rather, uncontrollable spring breakers, that alone made a huge difference in our experience and one we would rather not repeat.

Cabo is BEAUTIFUL!
The resort grounds/pools were BEAUTIFUL! The resort is VERY spread out, so there is a lot of walking. The beach was very pretty, but A LOT of vendors camp out each day ALL day bothering you to buy. The rooms are very dark, but good size. The beds are VERY hard and uncomfortable. Even though the rooms are upgraded with granite and trim the TV was a tube TV with no DVD player and most all channels are in Spanish. The resort does NOT offer free Wi-Fi in your rooms, ONLY in the front lobby! The food quality was so so.... definitely had better. Overall, the place was nice.

Great hotel - great vacation
Hotel was beautiful, everything is spotless, rooms are comfy, bartenders are fun, staff was SUPER friendly & helpful (went above & beyond more than once), beach was nice (kind of coarse sand), pools were nice (little cold). Went downtown quite a bit for shopping, dinner & happy hour -- taxi are usually $3/person w/$12 minimum or take the bus for $1/person! MUST visit Happy Ending Cantina (super cheap drinks, good bartenders, good tunes), Squid Roe (really fun club for all ages & great food = ribeye & lobster for $23!), Wicked Pizza (1/2 price for awesome pizza in the afternoon). Overall - fantastic vacation.

Great Spring Break Vacations with a group of 14!
We went with a group of 14, 6 kids and 8 adults. Overall, we could not have asked for a better trip. Our kids ages were 10, 10, 11, 12, 15, and 15. 3 boys and 3 girls. The kids enjoyed vball, soccer, and just enjoying the non-alcoholic drinks and food:) The kids did not swim in front of the hotel on the beach due to the undertow and had to walk down the beach in order to do this, but it was only a short walk. The food was great and there was much variety day to day. We stayed 6 nights and 7 days and were fortunate enough to get reservations at each of the restaurants. The steak was probably everybody's favorite, but we enjoyed all of them. It is true that you have to get out to the pool early in the morning to get chairs. We each took turns and went out around 5:45am to reserve 10-14 chairs each day. If you have a smaller group, I'm sure you do not have to go out this early, but we wanted ones in a particular area. The beds are a little hard, but for the most part, we were so tired each night that we feel asleep quickly. Nightly entertainment was fun and the Michael Jackson show was probably the best. For excursions, we enjoyed whale watching, snorkeling, touring Lover's Beach along with the Divorced:) The guys also went deep sea fishing as the girls went to swim with the dolphins. All of us are ready to go back again! Could not have asked for a better vacation.

If you know a list of excursions you want to do, you can get a great deal talking to NFL, also known as Cabos Sky along the beach and we dealt with Justin. We paid for all of our excursions to one vendor and saved at least 50%

A Great Place
You get a good bang for your buck. Our group consisted of my wife and I, another couple and my sister-in-law. Age 50 ish. Staff is friendly and accommodating. When we asked for a room change in building seven so that we could have a full ocean view versus a partial ocean view, they were were more than happy to let us switch. (no extra charge) If you want the full ocean view, 3rd and 4th floor are the best. The beach was a great place to hang out, close to the swim up bar for drinks and access to lots of activities like beach volleyball, water taxis to Lovers Beach or parasailing. Watching the cruise ships come in to port was kinda cool too! Of course the local vendors are always trying to sell you something but they're not overly pushy, just say "no thanks, maybe later". If you do decide to buy something and you don't like their price, just walk away, they generally will come down in price, of course your offer needs to be reasonable. There are two main pool areas, one with lots of activities and one quieter one ... you pick. The food is not spectacular but tasty, and there's lots to choose from at the morning, lunch and dinner buffets. The specialty restaurants are OK but not to die for. The fancy fruity drinks are good (if you like that sort of thing) but the hard liquor drinks are watered down (like most all inclusives). Just ask for doubles, problem solved! The complex is very spread out, so if you have a issue with walking, this probably is not the place for you. Having said that, the grounds are kept beautifully and are very clean. It's close enough to walk to town (Cabo San Lucas) if you're so inclined or a $1, 5 minute bus ride can get you there too. Rooms were clean and the little towel animals made by the house keepers, were a nice little touch. Room service was a little slow. I only used it three times but I had to phone twice after waiting about forty-five minutes each time. But it's a pretty big place with lots going on, so really, it wasn't a big deal. We had a great time and I would recommend that you give this place a try. Good value for the money.

If you don't like college kids that are looking to have a good time, don't go here at spring break. The early AM hours can sometimes be louder than they ought to.
