Great Time in Cabo
We are very happy with our choice of Riu Santa Fe. The staff are top notch, the food was great (my wife is a strict vegan , no problems at all). The rooms are clean & comfortable. The only suggestion I'd have for Riu is that it would be a bit nicer to have public restrooms closer to the pool in the center of the complex. The alcohol was typical for an all-inclusive. There are 4 of us that travel together every year, sometimes more, and we will, without a doubt, stay with Riu again.

amazing getaway
First time being in Cabo I have to say it was an amazing trip, the hotel was great, extremely friendly staff.Plenty room by the pool and beach, very clean rooms and overall property. Since we stayed on the ocean side we were far from the main bars and restaurant. The location of the hotel was very close to town we walked one day and took water taxi other times. Also this is the best time to see the whales there are different prices but try to book it in advance and do the early morning tour, we had to wait few days to see them.Being an all inclusive the food was great and so were the drinks. Will definetly go back again soon.

Riu Sante Fe
Great location. The hotel is very clean & well maintained and everyone was extremely accomodating. The breakfast buffet was great but dinners were mediocre at best which is usual at most all-inclusives. We ended up eating off the resort a few times.

Perfect Getaway
We loved this resort, and especially the staff. They were very pleasant, always had smiling faces and went out of the way to be helpful. I only wish we had a coffee maker in the room especially for that morning cup. We got a great deal and it was worth every penny. This is one vacation that we would love to go back again.

RIU Not the Tops
Adult “couples” vacationers might want to steer clear of this property. It seems more suited to the young drinking crowd or the young families (lots of very young drinkers and small children to avoid). The hotel spends most their money it seems on their grounds and maintaining the beautiful gardens. Sure they are great but many other areas lack. Upon arrival, our room did not have a working toilet, TV or fridge and after 17 days there, we never were able to get the air/heat system up and running. Don’t be fooled by the “all inclusive”. There are places to eat but dinner at this “all inclusive” but the dinners are by reservation only and if you are not up in the morning to make reservations by 7:00am, do not expect to get into any of the dining establishments. You can only may reservations for the current day or the next and the most popular restaurant “Steak House” seems to have only one 6:30pm seating and again after 17 days of trying to get a reservation, nothing. Oh, don’t expect coffee. I think the three most disappointing things besides the restaurants would be the fridged swimming pools, the counterfeit “top shelf” liquor and the lack of room/pool side service. Very odd for Mexico to not have an abundance of wait staff if not only for the tips. Would not return, certainly not for the high cost.

Dining tip:
Short drive from hotel
Never found anything remarkable about the downtown dining experience. The very best meal we had were $2 tacos at a place called "Los Claros" just one block from the mall. Cabo Wabo will disappoint anyone that has been to Mexico before and expects fair and accurate pricing.

Nice resort !
We spent 2 weeks from December 16th 2011 to December 30th 2011 The hotel has good curb appeal, nice and clean but the food does lack some talent in the A'la cartes food was a 4 star at best. The hotel beds were uncomfortable. The guys working the bar were very entertaining and hard working staff to meet your needs.

Nice place, great view
Took our 4 kids age 16-27 for Christmas. They all loved it. The buffets were above average for breakfast & dinner, ok for lunch. Difficulties making dinner reservations-must be done 1st thing in the am & if you're not there early, you default to the buffet. The Italian was best, never could get reservations for steakhouse. Christmas Eve buffet was very nice, but didn't like having to sign up for a seating. Pros: gorgeous view of the Cabo rocks, arch, good food, very clean & safe. Cons: dinner reservations, resort too spread out & no food available in our buildinG at night, no room service, nice big pools but COLD except for 2 small bar pools where small children were splashing and/or drunk people were loud. For just husband & me, would pick a smaller resort. Kids were quite happy though! Maids & minibar guy good but WILL enter your room with keys even if you're in there-beware!

Do the whale watching tour! We were treated to seals, pelicans, dolphins & plenty of whales! Everyone loved it! You can buy things from beach vendors but for more selection take a taxi to Cabo Wabo area and see everything. $12 each way.

disappointed family
When we checked in we had booked 3 rooms all with double bed. Went to each of the rooms to get settled in, only to find each room had only 1 king bed. So we went to get in straighted out only to find they had only 1 room with double beds. But that took a couplke of hours just to get that! We had 7 in our party so that made it kinda tough. We did end up getting a roll away bed, but we would have better off sleeping on the floor. All the beds were pretty hard, kind of hard to relax, we you couldn't get a good night sleep. We stayed in rooms 2011,1118,1119, and every night all we heard was the barking dogs and the smell of horses. Overall, pretty disappointed in the stay. Last year we had a great vacation at a resort in San jose del Cabo, looks like we will head back there. Sorry RIU Sante Fe, your not on the top of the list.

Swimming with the dolphins in Cabo is so much nicer. We did the newest one in San Jose, and the kids had a great time, the parents couldn't see much. Stay and get great pictures with dolphins in Cabo. (Well worth the money)
