Melia Cabo Real is nestled in Los Cabos' only swimmable golden sandy beach cove, at the center of the tourist corridor, just 10 minutes from the charming town of San Jose and 20 minutes from Cabo San Lucas' vibrant nightlife.
Nearby airports
San Jose del Cabo International Airport (SJD) is only 20 minutes away from the property.
Area description
Los Cabos (The Capes) is at the southern tip of Mexico's Baja California peninsula. Approaching the Sea of Cortes by air the visitors experience a wide contrast between the miles of golden beach, blue waters and the dramatic red rock formations; suaguro cactus, palms and cultivated gardens cover the pale gold desert landscape. Los Cabos is divided into three distinct areas: SAN JOSE DEL CABO, near the international airport is a picturesque and historic colonial town filled with quaint shops and restaurants. CABO SAN LUCAS, 20 miles south, is home of many world-class hotels, fine restaurants and a very active nightlife. It's definitely the busy part of Los Cabos. The TOURIST CORRIDOR stretches 18 miles along the sea cost linking the previous two towns. It is a scenic succession of pristine beaches, five-star hotels and world-class golf courses.

Overall Just Amazing

We got married at the Melia Cabo Real with our closest family and friends; It was simply perfect! The entire staff goes above and beyond for their guests! They are personal, professional, and oh so fun! Furthermore, the grounds are gorgeous, the rooms clean and comfortable, and the food delicious! I highly recommend the Asian cuisine restaurant and the La Terraza both exquisite a la cart meals. We watched whales jump from our balcony, swam in the Sea of Cortez, and rode horses on the beach beyond the hotel! Furthermore, if you choose to do extra activities off the resort may I recommend the Buccaneer Queen Snorkel Cruise and the Migrino Beach ATV Tour both were so much fun and the staff(s) were great! Needless to say I highly recommend this resort as well as Cabo in general, I have never had so much fun while feeling COMPLETELY safe!!!!

Good Time had by All!

My wife, 3.5 year old daughter, and I immensely enjoyed our time at Melia. The staff was very courteous and kind. The food (El Terraza), drinks and entertainment (Brazilian Night) was also very stellar. In addition, the staff at the Kids Club was amazing and very caring to our daughter! This was our first time in Cabo--and we will for sure come back. Melia and its staff is a great place for a family to visit! My daughter keeps asking to go back and we have only been back for 2 days!

Great all inclusive vacation

My wife and I had a great stay at the Melia under the all-inclusive plan. You don't have to think, you don't have to tip, just enjoy. All the food and drinks you want. The food wasn't a ten, but you can take the shuttle into town if you want some fine dining or all-night partying.

Great Birthday Trip!

I just got back from a trip to the Melia Cabo Real for my 30th birthday. I went with my boyfriend and another couple. We had an amazing time! The free shuttle to downtown Cabo was super! The hotel was beautiful. And the staff were terrific! i would definitely return to the hotel again! We were told by staff that the week we were there the hotel is always less crowded, which was fantastic for the day and being by the pool. However the nights at the hotel were very quiet. However, downtown was great at night.

Money-saving tip: In Hotel

The hotel shuttle to downtown Cabo was great for day time excursions and getting downtown for dinner. You just have to take a cab back if you stay for dinner or going out, because the last shuttle was at 6pm.

No Bueno

Not a good all inclusive resort. The hotel only offers 1-2 restaurant choices for dinner & only with a reservation. They only have a buffet available for breakfast & lunches. No Oceanfront rooms although they advertise them.

Great place and great entertainment

The lighting over the large bed could have been better if it could be shut off while my wife was sleeping and I sat at the table reading. Both sets of lights were on at the same time, how ever the staff became like family, the placed was clean, the food was great, lots of space, and the evening entertainment was awesome. I will definitely go back and stay Thank you all for your kindness and made our stay not only enjoyable but like hanging out with friends. Thanks again Paul n Connie Maine

Good all around

All around it was a good hotel. We are a couple in our 30's, not interested in the cabo bar scene. The Mediocre part: There are newer hotels in the area which have better views, laid out better. We felt that there were a lot of things that could have been better. We paid a bit extra to get an 'ocean view room' and it was just a room on the side of the hotel that you could see the ocean from the balcony, not the best view but it was a comfortable room, and since we were out of the room most of the time anyways it was just fine. Having said that it was a great time situated on a huge beach that was great to walk on and swim in the ocean. The drinks were good, the food was pretty good, nothing great but when we booked it was about the least expensive so we were happy and felt that we got what we paid for. We rented a car so were able to get out to snorkling places and go into Cabo and San Jose. All in all we were really happy and had a great time .

Lunita de Miel

We had a long weekend mini honeymoon in Los Cabos. We loved the all-inclusive package for the short amount of time we had. The food was great except for the Oriental buffet Sunday night, which was not as good as the Japanese restaurant on-site. Plus, there was a cockroach in the green salsa, but considering the hotel and food are completely open to the elements, I suppose it cannot be avoided. The only complaint was that everything shuts down on the weekends- no free shuttle, few restaurants on site open and we didn't get to make reservations at Terraza. But, the 15 peso bus ride into either town was very easy!

Right outside the hotel you can catch the 15 peso bus to either San Jose del Cabo or Cabo San Luca- will save you $25 in bus fare!

Great Vacation

My husband was tied up with work and I decided to take my two teenage boys to Cabo for Spring Break (last year.) We couldn't believe the sight as we got out of the taxi. What a beautiful facility. Open-air lobby with a lot of marble. They brought me a cocktail and my sons lemonade and got us comfortably settled. We enjoyed absolutely everything at this facility and met some friends we still stay in touch with. The room had a futon and two full beds, so we all had our own space and our balcony overlooked the ocean. We enjoyed taking the bus into Cabo and felt very safe. Wonderful staff at Melia too. I'd go back again in a heartbeat!

The outdoor a la carte restaurant was unbelievable. You have to make reservations in the morning - be there at the desk at 9 am sharp. They fill up fast. Well worth the trouble though.
