Hilton Los Cabos
We had fantastic stay. We stoped by other "comparable" hotels and the Hilton by far had the best layout, beach, pool, service and restaurant options. Only bad thing I can say is it is at least 15-20 minutes from either San Jose or Cabo San Lucas - so cabs get expensive. But because it is in the middle of both towns, it gives you two dining options (not to mention the hotel has some nice ones).

Great
Great hotel, everything was perfect. Just some FYIs: beach is not safe for swimming due to currents (used to be maybe?), all food options were expensive (sandwiches >$12 at deli, pizzas nearly $20), all Cabo San Lucas and San Juan Del Cabo entertainment and restaurants are an expensive taxi ride away. Recommend renting a car.

Hilton Los Cabos still a hit
We have been staying at the Hilton Los Cabos for years and we are always pleased. The beach is awesome, pool and common areas great, they keep everything first class. Service is outstanding. Foor is overpriced but that is true all over Cabo. This trip (March) as we sat on the pool patio, we saw many dozens of whales pass by, many jumping it the air and cavorting about. Just amazing! I would give this place 5 stars but they are next door to the Palmilla and Las Ventanas. They are five stars but also $900-1200 per night. You can get an oceanfront room at the Hilton for $200-300 per night and it is awesome.

wonderful couple getaway
We went to just relax for a few days, and that is just what we did. The Hilton has a very nice pool with very comfy lounge chairs, and a beautiful view of the ocean. The service was fantastic. All the employees were very nice. We had lunch at the pool everyday, and the food was very good. The breakfast buffet came with our room and it was one of the best breakfast buffets we've had, with outstanding service there also. The rooms were very clean and decorated with a fun Mexican flair. We will definately stay there again.

great room and staff
A great hotel. The staff and views from our room were terrific. We had a junior suite on the main foor facing the Sea of Cortez. We laid on our chaise lounge while others scrambled to place towels, books etc. on chaise lounges around the pool. They began this process before 7:00am each day. The only problem is the location for travel to dinner to San Jose(20.00one way) and Cabo San Lucas(25.00 one way) The price adds up after several days. There is a local bus(2.00 one way)but we did not want to ride the bus at night.

Hilton Los Cabos...Great stay Jan 2011
Pool experince was fantastic... very clean..great food and staff I have stayed at many 5 star resorts... The Hilton is a 3-4 star property that actually outperformed most top hotels in the following key categories... a. Staff b. Food/beverage c. Pool/spa area d. Size and quality of the guest room. The hotel was an excellent value and i would be willing to stay there again for more money than we paid.

We recommend strongly that you visit the town of San Jose which is a short cab ride from the resort. San Jose is quaint, safe and it offers great shopping and restaurant options. The town has galleries and is interesting for children.

Hilton Los Cabos
My husband and I stayed at the Hilton Los Cabos in honor of my 30th birthday. This was our first trip to Mexico. Overall; we had a LOVELY time! It was a relaxing, beautiful setting with an attentive staff. THE LESS THAN GREAT STUFF: They only thing that would prevent us from staying again were the restaurant options. We found the food to be overpriced with practically no vegetarian options (for myself). We did all the things people do to help cut down cost on food during travel (bought snack/breakfast items from the grocery store, tried to find less expensive options in town, split meals, had appetizers for dinner, etc) but still spent ~$800 for one week for two people, one who doesn't drink alcohol and one who doesn't eat any meat/seafood. Pretty pricey. I also thought the food was not fantastic, but I will admit I am a picky eater. The staff did make every effort and accommodate my dietary restrictions. Also- this is located in "the corridor" between the two Cabos. The only way to get to the city is 1) by bus- which is cheap by not the easiest, user friendly and most accessible city transport system we ever used. We still ended up walking far to our destinations and often had trouble finding the bus stops. We came to the conclusion that people often just stand out on Hwy 1 and the bus stops for them. 2) taxi- so so so expensive. By my calculations its about $5/mile My husband and I enjoy "spa-ing". Unfortunately the spa was closed for renovation, so I can't comment on it specifically, although it did smell great. I had a massage in the beach cabana and found it to be fine, not outstanding. (I should have prefaced this by mentioning spa is a bit of the family business, so flaws in technique and service jump out at us where it may go unnoted by others) THE GREAT STUFF: Once we went to San Jose, Cabo San Lucas and some local beaches; we realized there is little point to leaving the lovely Hilton Los Cabo resort. If you are interested in the local sites, I would recommend taking one of the "tours" offered by local companies- this seems easiest and probably cost effective when you calculate transport prices, etc. The Sea of Cortez isn't ideal for swimming, the surf is rather rough so the beach at the hotel was just fine for wading in and the pool is just beautiful. The staff there was very nice. They surprised me with an amazing little chocolate cake and champagne via room service and decorated my room with balloons for my birthday. Outstanding service! The beds by pool are a dreamy place to relax and read. Overall, the goal of the vacation was to make me relax, it was successful and we had a fantastic time. We would be happy to stay again!
