- Loreto is located in the Sea of Cortez labeled by Jacques Cousteau as "The Aquarium of the World". I reserved space 7 months in advance and checked back in 2+ weeks in advance of stay to update the number of persons in the room. I was told the extra charge would be $15 per night. When I arrived the clerk wanted $44 per night. I finally got a price of $22 per night for the 3rd person. Then they changed the room configuration from two doubles to three twins located right next to the bar with a live band that kept us awake until after midnight. Gratefully they moved us the next day after we complained. All of these negotiations were a hassel and contributed to the dimishment of our enjoyment of the stay.

Hotel threatened not to honor my reservation.
I reserved my stay 7 months in advance and 18 days before arrival I checked in to confirm and add an additional person to the room. I was told the fee for the extra person was $15 per night. 48 hours prior to the stay before leaving the US I had called to confirm that all was set. The Hotel would not acknowledge my reservation! After hours of back and forth over a period of two days I finally got my reservation honored for an additonal cost of $44 per night for the extra person, while others in my group were charged $22 per night for a third person. This place badly needs to get its act together. Otherwise the service was pretty good. A nice restaurant and bar and sea side location which was lovely. I would recommend this Motel to others with the caveat that you are cautious about checking on the reservation well ahead of time.

Great location in Loreto
The Hotel Oasis has a very friendly staff, always willing to help with a smile. The location is great, and it is much quieter as it is off the town center by a few blocks. The hammocks provided a great refuge after a day in the sun.

Short walk from hotel
The taco stands in town are very affordable and have great food. Also, the bar at the hotel has happy hour after 7 p.m.
