The price is right
As far from the bay as you could get but still an easy walk thru town to the main tourist area. Only one hotel I saw (La Mision) was nicer. Very good food at reasonable prices. Very clean, friendly, and quiet. Huge rooms.

Long walk from hotel
Try happy hr (4-7) at Augie's Bait & Bar. Heavily populated by Americans & Canadiens. Drinks are half what they are anyplace else, and they have free food Mon-Fri.
