InterContinental Presidente Ixtapa Resort- All Inclusive

Had an awesome time at this resort, was there for a week and I couldn't have asked for a better place. The staff is really what makes this place, they really make u feel like ur part of their 'family' and ur not just another guest. They truly know the meaning of customer service! The resirt probably doesnt have all the fancy amenities some of the other resorts may have (I really don't know what some of the others resorts offer) but if I go back I will not be looking anywhere else ! By the way the location is great, right across the street from all the shops, restaurant, and bars

The staff was friendly. The location was great, close to shopping out side of hotel. They offered many getaways for a resenable price. The beds could be softer and the wifi available only in lobby area.

This is the 5th time we have been to Ixtapa and the Presidente. We will KEEP going back! We've expanded our stay from one to two weeks and the staff and accommodations are simply the best, from the wonderful, friendly, accommodating staff, to the great accommodations! Our every need is met, AND the area is VERY safe there. The beach and shopping/restaurant area across the street are very well lit, there are always people around and security is great with policemen always visible. We have never experienced any type of security problem, and also have gone on outings and used taxi service to visit Zhiuantejo. We will continue to return - we love it there!

Love the location. The Presidente is located centrally on the beach and is a quick walk across the street to all the shops and many restaurants. The food is of good quality. Some stuff was excellent, some was just average. The rooms are clean. The staff are friendly & the bartenders are great!!

Staff was wonderful. Room and maid service top notch. Food was not as good as our last stay in 2006 but was still good. Very enjoyable. No worrys about violence or drug cartels.

Upon check in, we were assigned a room with a pool/ocean view, which was beautiful, however it had two doubles instead of one king. I went down to registration and they assigned us another room, which had one king bed, no problems! The staff here is wonderful and I had no complaints what so ever with the room. The shower had better pressure than we have at home, and the bathtub was nice and deep. Maid service is impeccable and we never had any issues in this area! Since this is an all inclusive, we were not expecting much in the way of food, but were pleasantly surprised, while not fantastic, the food was decent and the best we have had at an all inclusive. We were approached only one time to hear a presentation for "The Club" (timeshare) but did not find them to be pestering at all. Pool was always clean and clear, and the lounges were sprayed off every night (including ones on the beach). All in all a GREAT value, and we can not wait to go back to the presidente! (side note: They are slowly renovating the tower, which was closed when we were there, according to the staff it is only opened on major holidays)

In general it was a nice hotel. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. If you have to stay out of the sun you pretty much have to get under a palappa on the beach. Not much shade around the pools though they have several umbrellas. We weren't overly impressed with the food although the breads were awesome. It is a great central location.

I was very upset on our treatment. The service was terrible. They only had 24 -30 guest you would think they would at least try to wait on us a little better. They promised to reimburse us on being taken of our moneyh by some huslers if we only would listen for 1 hour of thier time share resentation. It lasted over 3 hours and the free horsback riding and taxi ride that i was promised for just listening to them was never delivered. I had to keep going back to them. I was finally upset I left 3 days early. I am reqeusting a 3 day credit being I prepaid for this trip. It was my honeymoon. I will never stay there again. Thier word is worthless.

The activities were good and the staff was friendly. However, they try to sell you time share or activities right when you check into the hotel. The rooms resemble the pictures, but they turn off the a/c when the rooms are not in use which causes a musky/moldy smell that takes several days to airout or you get use to it. We had to ask hosekeeping not to turn off the a/c. The food was excellent. :-)

we had a great week, but most of it was not on the Hotel site. we had only 3 supper at the hotel, and the food was correct but nothing spectacular. the personel is very friendly, and they try to help you with any request. a down side was that no hotel rules are respected by the guest. (by the pool, a big sign with no t-shirt, no food and no inflated toys. every day i saw all of those rules being broken and no one was their to tell them to not swim in jeans bermuda and underware, or not to eat hod-dogs ect ect.
