Isla Mujeres Palace Beach Front - All Inclusive-Couples only

Wonderful greeting with champagne- comfy room with lovely bed and jacuzzi. Very clean. Spent days lounging beside the beach, pausing only to take a dip in the pool and eat. Food delicious, though small menu, it changed nightly. Cocktails at every turn, weren't stingy with the liquor. Wonderful all-inclusive. Definitely going back. Very small- def very comfortable. Not a big beach, water seaweedy.

The hotel was clean, and the overall space was very relaxing. It was open, breezy, and quaint. The staff were nice. In general the island people are much nicer than the people in Cancun. My main complaint was that the food was not great and we ended up eating a lot outside of the hotel because downtown and around the island there are interesting restaurants and good street food. So I felt a bit guilty passing up free food at the hotel to eat in town, but there was much more in town to try than I expected and it was a good change of pace. But with that said, the drinks were flowing by the pool, and it was a short cab ride to the downtown so the hotel provided a decent base from which to explore the island. Next time, I would visit Isla Mujeres, but I might stay downtown rather than at an all inclusive. Another point worth noting, the nicest beach on the Island is Playa Norte, and the hotel's beach was small and unswimmable due to the sea weed. Beware if they invite you to a sales pitch in Cancun for the other Palace resorts, with the promise of hotel dollars to spend on activities. The deal sounded too good to be true and I overheard people in the pool who were very upset about getting invited to this sales pitch where the staff were very rude and agressive. We did not go to the sales pitch, despite the $750 in hotel cash that was offered, and we were very glad to have not wasted the day going into Cancun for it. Concerning tours, the hotel is not convenient for activities on the mainland. It is a taxi ride to port, a ferry ride, and another taxi to the cancun hotel zone in order to get on tours (i.e Chichen Itza, Tulum, etc). If you are not picky with food, and looking for a small all-inclusive place with a pool, then the Palace is ok. It is definitely better than anything you'll find in Cancun, but it is also not the only option for enjoying a week at Isla Mujeres.

My fiance and I stayed here for vacation in March and we loved every second of it! The food was good, the service was good, the beachfront area was never crowded. It was secluded and not surrounded by tourist traps. We will definitely be going back.

We can't say enough about the kindness and professionalism of the staff at this hotel. The room was probably the nicest we've stayed in at a beach facility. A Chi flat iron was provided along with the blow dryer. Very nice! The food was great - especially the dinners. Always enough lounge chairs on the beach or by the pool. The only negative would be that you couldn't really go in the water on this beach because of the sea grass. The beach at the north end is much nicer - but very crowded! So there's the trade off. Very nice stay.

Probably 3.5 Star. Downgrade on wine list. Downgrade on neighboring business (loud local bar/day resort with locals arriving on free boat ride from Cancun. Because it is on the Island with limited ferry service to Cancun, it was impossible to go into Cancun for the night life. Resort should have offered Mayan ruin tours, but did not. Dolphin encounter was first rate. Overall very nice and relaxing.

This resort is exactly what we were looking for - a quiet, very clean, laid back paradise!

We recently returned from a one week stay at Isla Mujeres Palace. The hotel rooms and grounds were extremely clean, staff was friendly, and ocean views were excellent. Breakfast and lunch food was typical of an all-inclusive resort, however less variety. Dinners were far above average for an all-inclusive.

best vacation ever! staff was fantastic, rooms were great. food was good, had ups and downs but over all, a good experience.

We had so much fun! The staff was exceptional, they made us feel like we were the only people there. If you want a relaxing time we highly recommend this hotel.
