Since its opening, in 1986, the Hotel Quinta Real Guadalajara has set the standard for quality and refinement combined with fine service and warm hospitality for the Mexican hotel industry. A soothing oasis in what has been described as "Mexico's most Mexican city" (it is the birthplace of tequila, mariachis and the colorful gentlemen riders known as charros), the Quinta Real Guadalajara is reminiscent of a colonial-era hacienda, featuring antique-style furniture, original works of art, local crafts, stucco ceilings, ivy-covered pink stone walls and thoroughly modern facilities. Conveniently located in a residential area, just 20 minute from downtown, 30 minutes from the airport and 15 minutes from Expo-Guadalajara, the hotel is popular with business and leisure travelers who use it as comfortable headquarters for discovering Guadalajara's many attractions.

The Quinta Real blends old Mexico with Grand Class amenities to create an ambiance that is exclusive and romantic. You perceive the hotel's elegance and welcoming atmosphere from the moment you arrive, enjoying a welcome champagne cocktail in a lobby adorned with a 161:06 PM century altarpiece. Cobblestone walkways wind through lush gardens, with stone arches, wrought iron-trimmed balconies and enchanting nooks that create the illusion of country villa seclusion. But hop into a cab and in just minutes you will be enveloped by the hubbub of Mexico's second largest city. Later, unwind with a refreshing dip in the outdoor swimming pool, learn about the fine points of tequila in the bar, and end your day with a leisurely, delicious meal in the refined setting of the gourmet restaurant.

First Class in a busy city

The Gran Class suites are perfect for a romantic getaway, and you can forget about the outside world. You are transported to another time and place, when you are in the hotel grounds,(fountains, flowers, and great architecture). If you have ever experienced a hard bed in mexico, these are not the same. The beds are so well appointed and comfortable that I didn't want to leave the room for my entire stay. A word to the wise, run a little water through the jets in the tub, before you set up for that romantic bath for two.
