Great weekend in Guadalajara
I stayed here with two girlfriends for a long weekend. The hotel is really pretty and comfortable. It is a 4 block walk to the walking and shopping area in tlaquepaque. The hotel arranged for a private guide (Gabriel) to take us to the tequila region for the day too, which ended up being more affordable (and educational) than the tequila train.

One of a Kind
My family & I just returned from our latest Mexico excursion. We flew into Guadalajara and arrived late night so we stayed over to get a night's sleep and begin our drive to Puerto Vallarta in daylight. I can't say enough good things about the management of this hotel. It was difficult to find as the streets aren't marked well in Tlaquepaque. Once we found it we were escorted to our room which was old school Mexican with spanish tile and a large bathroom. We've stayed in San Miguel de Allende and I'd compare the area and this hotel to what we experienced there. We like it so much we left PV a day early and stayed again before flying back to the states.

Wonderful Mother Daughter time!
The architecture is amazing....arches & curves everywhere...many covered by vines and blossoms. 2 large pools graced by huge cages of canaries and love birds. Wondeerful to wake to singing and soft little dove songs. Beautifully furnished with a king size bed heaped with interesting pillows. The decor was splendid with lots of artistic touches. Staff was most friendly & helpful with any wish. Each morning we had a breakfast buffet of fruits...pastries...eggs any way we wished...chilli quilles...etc. The orange juice was fresh squeeezed....life doesn`t get much better!

I LOVE IT!!!
Everything is really good they only need to negotiate price incase someone needs to extend the stay or unexpect an extra person and they will be willing to lower the price or not because they think you are comming from USA they are expecting you have alot of money. Everything else was perfect I have no complaint about the hotel services!!

Family getaway
This was our third visit to Villa del Ensueño and it will not be our last! We just returned yesterday and already planning to return to Guadalajara in November for a family event and intend on staying at La Villa del Ensueño. The location is perfect for us because we have relatives in the area which we visit and then are able to shop and dine nearby. I recommend this hotel to all my friends and family not only because of its charm but for the friendly and helpful staff!

Charming and peaceful
We were there for just one nite, with an early morning departure to airport. We wished we had more time there. It is a short walk from hotel to central Tlaquepaque, with its great shopping and restaurants. Staff was welcoming and attentive, rooms very nicely done.

The 2 restaurants we've tried were both wonderful, in ambiente and food..."Adobe" and "Casa Fuerte" in the pedestrian shopping district. Do not miss the frozen tamarind margaritas with chile powder and coarse salt on the rims, available at both restaurants!
