I'd stay again with an upgrade!

Had to travel to Mexico for my mom's emergency surgery here. Chose this hotel because it was recommended by her hospital for their clients. As a female traveling alone, inexperienced with international travel, I wanted security plus comfort. The photos are a little misleading. Room was in motel part of hotel, rather than tower. Felt a little unsafe due to this, but had no problems whatsoever. Basic beds. AC worked great, but did not cover outside sounds. Pool was nice, clean, and warm, and also on ground level. I don't know if there was another pool on the hotel tower. It was very nice to have the restaurant on premises so I didn't have to wander. Staff, restaurant, and shuttle service all fabulous. Hotel always had somebody to help me as I don't speak spanish! I've never stayed in a hotel in Guadalajara before, so I don't know what the standards are, bowever, I've paid the same in the US for a basic suite with pillow top mattresses, which is why I rated the value as ordinary. The hotel was located near a mall and the commerce center. The quality of the other people in the restaurant and the lobby indicated to me that the rooms in the tower were probably the quality that I wanted, but I never asked about an upgrade. All in all, I would recommend it.

The molcajete in the hotel restaurant was awesome! I have very bland taste buds and it was perfect.
