Worked for us
Main reason for staying was that it was close to the Expo building and offered a pool and gym. Shuttle to the Expo during the show. The hotel was clean and offered a great breakfast buffet. The gym was adequate - but dated. The pool was on the roof - so no one looking down - which was nice. Highlight? The staff.

Great Italian restaraunt around the corner called Trattoria. Excellent food, wine list and prices.[...] at the Holiday Inn suggested it to us and we ate there 3 times!

The hotel atmosphere is very friendly. The location is a safe and clean environment and close to downtown and many other shops. The only thing is that I suggest you call the hotel with at least two to three weeks in advance to verify your hotel reservations.

Nice hotel for a good price!
Looking for an apartment for school. There was no valet parking, you had to park your own car. It would have been nice if they were more restaurants to select from.

Visit to Guadalajara
Room was very clean and comfortable. Ate breakfast at local in hotel cafe. Ordered Oatmeal and that was not something you should order. They really did not know what it was. We got a milk soup with a very small amount of oatmeal flakes. The second version was better but they mixed milk in the oatmeal rather than letting the eater mix it in. The buffet looked good but we were not that hungry.

BUYER BEWARE: No Cancellations Allowed!
Hotel management adamantly refused to cancel my reservation once it was made--even though unforeseen circumstances prevented me from arriving in Guadelajara. They would not cooperate with Orbitz customer service staff who tried to facilitate the cancellation. The hotel had my credit card and I was required to pay, even though I couldn't get to the hotel and didn't stay there at all. All I can say is be forewarned and BUYER BEWARE, there is no mercy.
