Very nice hotel with great staff
Business trip. Hotel is in a great location especially if you need to be at the Expo Center or WTC. Secure neighborhood. Good food at the hotel restaurant. Breakfast buffet was expensive (US$21)even though the selections were quite ample. Hotel has a well equipped fitness center. I would definitely stay there again.

Good, bad & UGLY
The good: Very good service, location, room comfort, clen bathrooms and fast courteous service. The bad: Pricey restaurant. My room was facing the street and the sun came up right across my room and the curtains let a sliver of light in, unlike other hotel rooms I've stayed in. The lights had a had a bad habit of going off every half hour or so as if they were on a timer. The AC also had that bad habit and the room temperature seemed to stay on the warm side. The UGLY: Money-over two thousand dollars were stolen from the safe deposit box. Investigation in progress. I read a prior review about similar circumstances. After I reported the theft I overheard something an ipod "missing" from another guest.

Good room value, pricey services
Although muffled, noise from the street is still noticeable (6th floor) Squeaky bed Minor maintenance required upon arrival (safety box was not anchored). Pick up a Hotel business card at check in. The hotel info is not readily available in the room (address or phone number).

A week at Camino Real Expo
I attended Fundiexpo 2009, a foundry supplies exibition held at the Guadalajara Expo. The hotel location couldn't be better, since it is directly across the Expo. The hotel staff was courteous, the reservations clerk I spoke to on the phone (to add an additional night's lodging) was very helpful and threw in free Wi-Fi for the duration of my stay (6 nights). The Bice restaurant located in the lobby has a great breakfast buffet, including 6 different fresh squeezed fruit juices, made to order omelettes and delicious banana leaf covered tamales. The rooms are spacious with unpretentious decor, CRT TV, in-room safe (big enough for a small laptop computer), well stocked minibar and a very spacious and well appointed bathroom with a large shower. The room has 3 telephones, one on the desk next to the TV, one by the bed and a third (answer only) in the bathroom. Quality is typical of Camino Real hotels. I recommend this hotel if you are viciting the Expo or surrrounding areas.

Long walk from hotel
If you like steaks, don't miss a chance to dine at La Estancia Gaucha, located a little less than a mile away (well worth the walk). The Churrasco (a marinated Rib Steak) is delicious! They have an excellent selection of Tequilas and prepare a delicious "Sangrita" on the premises. Try Herradura Reposado Tequila with a Sangrita chaser. you'll not be sorry!
