Sabor Cozumel Resort and Spa - Adults Only - All Inclusive

The Hotel staff was excellent. Always smiling ang happy to help every way they could. Right on the beach. Had several things to do. Went swimming with the dolphins, snorkeled and went parasailing. I'm ready to go back only I wan5 to stay longer next time. Three best friends 5ogether made a lifetime of memories.

We visited “Sabor Cozumel Resort and Spa - Adults Only” on May 17th for 4 nights. We stayed in Exclusive club. It was a little bit empty – only several couples stayed at the same time. The hotel is not new and a little bit running down but they are trying to do the best. Every morning they were cleaning the hotel’s pool. The weather was not very good during our staying – this is rainfall season so every day we had 3 hours cats and dogs raining from about 9 am to 12 pm. There is a very good service in an airport – you can take the shuttle to the hotel only for $12 per person. In the hotel they have very interesting pre-Hispanic show. I’ve never seen something like this even during my saying in Cancun. The Mexican night was ok – nothing special – it was something I’ve already seen before in Mexico. The best part was the snorkeling – we did 3 hours snorkeling trip to the reef for $40 per person but actually you don’t need to go anywhere because there are several very good spots in front of the hotel.

Overall the experience was fun, food very good, bar and wait staff excellent, they work hard. We did upgrade to Exclusive, we had the lazy river outside our door that was not clean. Our room had no water when we arrived and when we did get water it was brown and we had small bugs all over the bathroom..the remedy was to hand us a can of bug spray to kill the bugs ourselves. During our stay one of the pool bars was closed most days and on a few occasions if you did not make a reservation for dinner and the buffet restaurant was closed you had to walk a distance for dinner. We would not stay again, there were ten of us.

Disappointed is an understatement! I have stayed there several times in the past and have kept coming back until this last visit. Now, I am not so sure about the future! The “Featured Free Wi-Fi” was down almost the entire time, and then only available in the “Lobby!” The “Swim-Up Bar” was never opened! The only two of the Men’s restrooms by the beach and bar had plumbing issues and were closed 50% of the time. The “Main Pool” was closed for a day and a half. The phone service in and out of the hotel was down with the internet service! And oh yeah, one of the buildings had a sewer leakage problem that smelled very foul as you had to walk past on your way to the Restaurant! But hey! They have a “New Manager!” Please bring back the “Old Manager!”

Not sure exactly why this resort let itself fall to these sub-standards? Maybe it was the end of the busy season? Lack of staff and motivation? The first night we were there, we had no water in the room! No toilet, shower or sink. Then, when they got it running, it was brown. It was obvious walking the resort that they had septic issues. We were a family of ten and none of the restaurants would seat ten together? There was plenty of room to do so I didn't quite inderstand that. The beach was rocky and often had a septic odor. Not sure if it was wafting from the resort or it was in the water? We did upgrade and felt it was a waste of money. The only things we got with the upgrade were two warm beers, two warm sodas and two warm waters a day. If you asked for more if was a definate NO. The only thing that made this vacation a sucess was the family and friends we were with!

Check -In: A Ocean-view room: F stayed one night, got locked out of room on balcony as lock engaged when we step out side (0530 AM), staff was great about getting us back in our room. Switched to Sabor Exclusive for the remainder of the vacation Sabor Exclusive room: B+ Food: B Snorkeling: B Beach: B Overall, not a bad place but as we always do, we will check another resort when we return to Cozumel! Did like that it was an adults only place!

The hotel needs better food, and I'm not to pleased with the hidden prices that always get charged for the activities offered at the hotel activities center. Other than that it's great if you love to snorkel.

Everyone was super friendly and the food was great! I would defintiely recommend this place to a friend!

we stayed ten days and enjoyed them all. if you enjoy snorkeling or scuba this is the place to be. we took a trip at christmas with our three children so we enjoyed the adults only this time

Our vacation was tainted by rude, obnoxious, vulgar, and crass resorters. While this isn't the resort's fault I do feel there are limits at which point the hotel staff should step up and ask a patron to relax. The hotel itself was nice, the food good, drinks readily available, and service was excellent.
