Sabor Cozumel Resort and Spa - All Inclusive

This was my first experience at Sabor and all the staff was VERY friendly and accommodating. It's located right on the reef so snorkeling was the best I saw anywhere on the island. The rooms are just okay though and the food isn't anything to brag about...but I wasn't there to stay in my room the whole time. Overall I'd give it 1 thumb up.

We spent almost 9 days at this resort, arrived just 1 day prior to competition, this hotel was not hosting the triathlon competition so it was not very crowded, just a few participants of the event. The weather was good 75 79 degrees with some clouds during that time but the mix of clouds and sunshine was perfect for some hotter days. The hotel is located in front of the best portion of the beach from what we have seen around most of the island, there is sand at the beginning of entering the water and some rocky surface but it was pretty good, we did not need water shoes to enter the water when the rest of the island has majority of rocky water entrances. The most amazing thing is that we were able to snorkel for hours right from the beach, there is a variety of colorful fish, small sting rays and even saw a big eel. Since the hotel is all inclusive snorkeling gear, sail boats are given at no charge for 2 hour intervals, since it was a slow time at the hotel we had a blast taking advantage of available snorkeling gear, learning for the first time how to use the sailboat which was very easy and so much fun and taking out a boat a few times. The beach area is very clean, the staff does a really great job. Overall the staff was great, very friendly and helpful. There are 2 restaurants in hotel, one is the buffet open for breakfast lunch and dinner. The food at that restaurant was good, good variety, good value. The other Italian restaurant is open for dinner only, since it was off season we did not need any reservations, the food was great, we went to dinner there almost every night except one when we opted out for the buffet. The hotel has free gym which comes in handy after all the all-inclusive meals :) the rooms were very clean, the staff came every day, the only thing the beds we had we a little small for 2 people-more of a full size bed rather than the queen size and the beds were a little too firm for our taste but after snorkeling and spending all time at the beach that was not a big deal to us we were pretty tired and still got a good night sleep. The water on this island is pretty turquoise color and very very calm right by that hotel ( in other areas we saw waves and a bit more rough water), because the water was so calm it was awesome for snorkeling and just floating around. We have snorkeled in many places and this was one of the best for sure, we also took a trip on a boat to go out to see great reefs deep in the sea, saw turtles there, a small shark (not the dangerous kind) and some fish but saw much more variety of fish right by our hotel. Overall we really loved this location, definately great value, we are already thinking of coming back to the same hotel pretty soon

friendly staff, good food, very good location for snorkling and catching a boat to the reefs. Pools a little on the cool side. You better like dos xxies for your beer choice. Plenty of lounge chairs, good beach.

Although it looked totally different from the pictures we had a great time. Everyone there was so friendly, the bartenders where awesome as well.

When we arrived I was very surprised. One of the staff remembered me from the last time I was there. That was a first for me! Check in was fast and easy then they swept us off to our rooms. We were in the San Francisco. Both rooms were great, nice and clean and blessedly cool. Very inviting! The room I was in was 3617. Loved the location but, we had noticed a sewer smell when we walked out the door. Some times it was strong and others it wasn't. Well the third day of our stay around 10 am it came into our room. Man it was bad!!! We went to the front desk and told them of the issue and they moved us to another room that afternoon. Didn't have any more trouble with the smell. The other room we had was just as nice as the fist. Our friends room didn't have a fridge but one magically appeared. The staff are great! They took good care of us and were always friendly. And the dive guides at the resort are great. I will be happy to go diving with them anytime. I love this resort! This is my favorite on the island and cant wait to go back!

We were upgraded to a suite for free upon arrival and had spectacular view. The staff was very helpful and took great care of us. The food was plentiful but unusual for my taste not Mexican or American. The drinks were great but BRING YOUR OWN CUPS. We used Palancar Dive Shop right there in the hotal awesome Dive Masters, Jorge was our favorite. Sabor was the cheapest all inclusive we found. Well worth the money and will go again. Take your own glasses they serve everything in 10oz cups

i vacationed with my two sisters. we ranged in age between 24 and 18. overall it was a great vacation and a great experience. the hotel rooms were clean and comfortable. the hotel made a cot available to us after asking once. the food varied between good and excellent (especially breakfast at the main buffet, the poolside snack area, and the asian fusion restaurant). i was also glad food was available throughout the day. the ocean was excellent, very warm (mid August) and clear. the beach was well maintained and clean of debis and garbage. the resort entertainment was good and varied by the day. the exercise area was small but had a variety of equipment. it was well maintained, clean, air conditioned, and usually empty. my only complaint was the poor quality of alcohol served at the resort. i was unable to find higher or even midrange quality alcohol (eg. there was no crown royal or jack daniels). i would recommend this resort for family and couple vacations.

My daughter and I went on a mother-daughter vacation as a gift from my husband. It was beautiful: the snorleing, the sand, the turquoise water, the hammocks under the trees where we took our afternoon siesta. The food was healthy and full of variety. The shows were resort shows...does anyone come for the shows? You're at the beach!!! We would definitely stay again. Only drawback for my 14 year old daughter: the inconsistency of the Internet connection. For me, it was not a problem. My emails can wait!!

The check in was very long with one person at the front desk. Food was not that great. No room service. All inclusive was not worth the price as this hotel and i most likely would not go back. Pool was very dirty.

I stayed 5 days at The Sabor with my 2 boys. The employees were excellent, the location was beautiful. The bartenders, wait staff, activity coordinators - all went above and beyond to make sure we got everything we asked for. I had seen some negative reviews before I booked this trip so I was unsure as to what to expect. All I can say is that any negative review must have come from those who always find something to complain about. We had a grat time and were sad to leave. I woud stay at the Sabor again without hesitation.. Our airport transfers went flawlessly and our transportation representative in Cozumel was outstanding. He was waiting at the airport and was at our hotel each day to make sure we had everything we needed.
