Marvelous as usual

I love the El Presidente Cozumel. .Johnni the concierge does an excellent job in communication before traveling to Cozumel and is so helpful with knowledge of the island and local cultural events. This is not an all inclusive experience. ..it is private - safe - and personal. I look forward to returning to The El Presidente Cozumel in a few months~

Grea experience during the 70.3 Ironman

We stayed at the hotel for a few days during the 70.3 Ironman race and we had a great time! The beach is hard to top, stretching over 500 m with private land and direct access to a reef and crystal clear waters. A divers paradise... The hotel management really understood the priorities for the race with early breakfast (4 AM), shuttle, amenities and more... Something you don't find often in other hotels. The staff is really friendly, but you have to get used to the Yucatan's peninsula speed which is reaaally slow. My only disappointment for a hotel of this class. We had dinner at the Alfredo Di Roma Italian restaurant, which is supposed to be top notch, and although the food was ok, the service was very poor and slow.

Great Place, but Pricey

My wife and I booked here thinking it an all-inclusive resort like many of those in Cozumel. It comes up under all-inclusive on some travel sites. I was a bit shocked to learn that it is NOT all-inclusive, and is in fact quite highly priced in all respects. I met another guy there during my trip who had made the same mistake. Besides spending about $800 more for our 4 days scuba trip than planned, all other aspects of this hotel were wonderful. I was in the cheapest room, which was huge and nicely done, even including a little private patio off the bathroom with outdoor shower. Had a really comfortable bed and the room had good darkening curtains and was quiet. Every room has a main patio with hammock. All staff were extremely nice and helpful, and the place was clean and well kept. Even though there is supposedly Wi-Fi throughout the property, we were hardly ever able to link to it. The food at every one of the restaurants and snack areas was quite good and nicely presented, with good sized portions, but at prices I didn't expect for Mexico --- $4 Coke, $15 salad, $18 hamburger, $10-$15 mixed drinks, $30 steak, $15 BLT sandwich, $30 all-you-can-eat breakfast food bar. Daily happy hour 5-7 pm at all bars did offer 2 for 1 drinks. The resident scuba outfit --- Scuba Du --- was outstanding. Friendly, helpful, careful, pretty reasonably priced ($80 for two-tank dive excursion). They only do small group dives of up to 6 per dive master. The dives we had were spectacular! Would I recommend this resort to others? Absolutely! It's really about as first rate a vacation as you can get on Cozumel. Just know that it ain't cheap though. Would I go here again? Not sure. I'm more likely to go to a real all-inclusive hotel for budget reasons.

absolutely first-rate Italian restaurant just off the main town shopping area in Cozumel --- Sorrici's. Try the shrimp pizza (I know, sounds yucky, but is mouth watering good!)

Spectacular venue for couple or family vacation

We've been visiting the Presidente for over two decades and haven't been let down once. The staff is superb and the hotel is great. Please note that the town of San Miguel has been built around the cruise ship industry, which means tourist shops, bars, and some noise. If you're interested in that environment, a cab ride into town is no problem; if you're not, stay on the grounds of the hotel and enjoy three restaurants, three bars, two pools, the beach, the spa, and total relaxation.

Food at the hotel can be pricey. However, the Caribeno Restaurant allows you to order from its regular menu, the beach/pool lunch menu, and even some items from a traditional Mexican breakfast. Their chicken enchiladas in green sauce are a favorite of ours.

Had a great time; would definitely recommend it!

We celebrated our honeymoon here, and recently returned for our 10-year anniversary. We had a great time 10 years ago, and were a little anxious that it would be as great this time. Our expectations, were not only met, but it was even better this time! Everything was great... the staff, the restaurants, the beach, the snorkeling, etc. One of the nice things about this place is its privacy. It definitely isn't crowded. Even if there are a lot of people in one spot, there are plenty of other places on the property to go. We had heard that the restaurants and room service were overpriced, and while it wasn't cheap, it was what you would expect to pay for a nice meal out in the States (only with an awesome view). We went with the breakfast included package, and we would definitely recommend that. (breakfast is an amazing buffet and is open until 11. We ate a large brunch, ate some snacks in the afternoon, and enjoyed a nice meal each evening.
