Great Family Value April 6th 2013

Our kids are 13 and 15 and they had a ball with the staff, who worked very hard to make sure they were having a good time. The scuba diving is very nice and close to the hotel, but those that did not dive had a great time too. We got the airport tranfers but these seemed like just a very confusing way to pay for a taxi. They had good snorkel gear to borrow so you don't need to bring your own. Bring your own pillow, theirs were very hard. Buffet was very nice. We did not find the on site restaurants were worth it. Good family trip, we would go back.

Great Dive Hotel

We stayed as a family of 4 in 2 rooms. Location is perfect for divers and being away from the busier parts of the island. Dressel Dive shop was excellent to work with and we had some of the best diving. Food was just OK. Beautiful setting, staff was great and a great 10 day stay overall.

very good family trip

The grounds of the resort were beautiful with much wildlife and very well manicured fauna. Rooms were comforatable but a little worn. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Food was good every day. Would definitely consider this resort for a return trip.

Scuba Diving paradise!

Had a wonderful week: the setting is impeccable, service excellent, accomodation above average and the Scuba Diving center one of the best I have ever been. This is my fourth experience at an Iberostar hotel and I have never been disappointed.

Fun in the Sun!!!

Had an incredible time, the staff was GREAT! The grounds were absolutely beautiful, entertainment was terrific, the rooms were comfy (they just smelled a little musty - I would recommend bringing insense). The only draw back for me was the food. I felt it was just so, so and I wish there would have been more authenic mexican food but...I will definitely go back!

Disappointed in Iberostar Cozumel

Last year we enjoyed Iberostar Tucan and had hoped that Iberostar Coz would be similar, but the quality of this Iberostar was disappointing. For a 7 day stay, we were allowed only 2 dinner reservations at the steak house and Rock cafe. They acted like the restaurants were booked, but both were nearly empty. Both dinners we're mediocre at best, tough steak, burnt salmon, terrible wine. The buffet was the worst we've tasted and we've stayed at quite a few all inclusives. We don't expect gourmet, but we could barely bring ourselves to eat there the last couple days. The beach is solid ironshore. You can't swim off this beach at all. I tried every bar at this resort and never found a good margarita!! They use a very sweet mix. A couple bartenders tried to make them "special" for me, no luck. Alberto's down the beach has good food and margaritas! Peacocks running around resort are fun, but patio around buffet near pool is dirty

Rented a car one day and drove around island to some beautiful swimmable beaches and shopped/ate in town. We had a great time exploring the island! Unfortunately, thick trash has washed up on many beaches and Cozumel really needs a clean up.

Great stay especially with kids

Great location away from the big tourism, diving/ snorkeling right in front of the hotel, great gardens and walk-ways including an animal section, best food I ever had at an all-inclusive in the Carribean. Beach w/ lots of palm trees/shade. Need shoes to enter water but perfect local sand beaches on the uninhabited East side of the island are only 15+ min drive away. Room could have more storage space, softer beds, downstairs appts. can hear people walking up/down stairs but didn't bother us. The rest of this hotel more than makes up for this. Currently there are sand fleas in the sand of all Cozumel beaches, this hotel sprays beach at night. Great stay!

Great variety buffet. Ask for a table near the animal section if you have small kids. The flamengos, walking by peacocks, iguanas etc. will help you occupy your toodler for a nice long meal time.
