Great place but NOT during hurricane
The staff is the best hotel staff ever, the food was so good and so plenty that it is the only thing that made the stay bearable. We were unfortunate enough to stay there during the hurricane IDA, and it was the most terrifying experience of our lives. Too much rain caused too much leaking from the wooden roof, flooding caused all the deadly snakes from the jungle to go look for higher ground at the hotel properties, some of the guest houses were flooded, staff disappeared from the complex at the first warning of the hurricane we basically were left for dead in the jungle. Beach was shut down for a few days. Rain caused enormous number of mosquito to feast on us. Because of the rain the beach to the north became a quick sand causing one person to fall in about 3 feet , but he was able to get out with help of others. One of the German snorkeling guys got bit by one of these snake looking like fish in the water near the property, so we had to go into the water from the pier, not from the beach. Basically this place is in the middle of the jungle, with all it's wildlife. This was the most extreme week of our lives and we decided not to ever travel anywhere and just stay in Chicago. We been to Cozumel many times before, and this was the best hotel (if it would not be for a hurricane that caused all the rain that caused all the flooding we would definitely come back there over and over again) The place is extremely private, for couples and families, it is a very small resort everyone gets to know your name within a few days of stay. Again it is a great place, we were just not fortunate about timing of our stay.

Great family holiday
This is a great hotel, the all inclusive food is really quite good and the everybody was very friendly. We had 2 rooms, 2 in one and 3 in the other, which was a little cramped, but who cares as we only spend a little time in the room anyway.

Iberostar Cozumel
Wonderful resort in Cozumel, great location, great food and staff. We went snorkeling and did the discover scuba resort dive certification through the onsite dive shop, Dressel Divers. It was a great experience. We will definitely return.

If you have time, you can rent a car through the onsite agency, Thrifty. It is really neat to drive around the south to the "wild" east side of the island. It was really busy though in town so we just stayed south.

Iberostar IS a star!
This is our second family vacation at the Iberostar in Cozumel. The staff is so friendly and helpful, always anxious to help us have a nice vacation. We love the property / grounds, starting with the flamingos, parrots, peacocks and iguanas just outside the hotel lobby. We even had our own "Iggy" living on our porch. The rooms are so-so, but we weren't there to stay in the room. The front porch, however, is excellent. The hammocks are a huge hit with everyone, setting the stage for a relaxed and comfortable stay. The resort is the furthest hotel from town. Taxis are now price-fixed. It is expensive to go into town. Two of us was $22 one way. The beach is poor, but you can walk to better beach areas. Bring water shoes to get in and out of the kayaks, the rocks hurt!

You will love this place!
I didn't want to do a allincusive trip. I like small more local style. but my boyfriend talked me into it. I LOVE THIS PLACE!!! Nice bunglow style, great food. snorkling right at your beach. the staff was aswome.[...], was the bartender in the lobby. GO SEE HIM! It was quiet when you want and then you can have entertainment when you want. the set up is brilliant. I suggest getting a car for a day and going to the southwest side of the island. So beautiful.

Iberastar Cozumel
We had never been out of the country before, or at an all inclusive. We were met at the door with a smile and the staff contimued to smile and be helpful, friendly, and fun the entire time. The food was fantastic at the Buffet, bascially the same staples, but with different food every meal as well- great fruit. Drinks were great, and even though they were flowing freely-no one got rude, or angry. The crowd consisted of families-some extended, couples, friends, and a lot of divers. Grat enertainment as well,, with pool games, karoake, dance lessons, massage, facials, ect. Lots to do on the island, and easy to setup. We actually left the hotel to go home without half our luggage, and by the time we realized it at the airport, the BellBoy was on his way to bring it to us. Fantastic all the way!!!!!!
