This tropical resort consists of two contemporary towers that include a total of 348 well-appointed rooms with private balconies facing the beach. Key facts

The Park Royal Cozumel has a private beach on a tranquil island just off the coast of Mexico's Riviera Maya. This upscale resort is a short drive away from the urban center of San Miguel de Cozumel. When you're ready to spot beautiful coral reefs, grab snorkeling or scuba diving equipment from the dive shop. An on-site gym will also keep you in shape when the weather isn't perfect for diving in the sea. The resort's spa is the perfect place to unwind after enjoying thrilling underwater adventures. At lunchtime, reserve a table at El Italiano Restaurant to sample Tuscan dishes. Of course, there's a plethora of native cuisine on the menu at the El Mexicano Restaurant. Featuring porthole windows that are modeled after yachts, the Sports Bar is a great place to sip tequila and beer.

Truly enjoyable vacation

Would recommend Fri, Jan 8, 2016
I have stayed at this resort 3 times now and have enjoyed each stay. The resorts location is good-close to town and anything one wants to do. The staff is courteous and kind. The food is typical of most all-inclusives and tends to get old fast. The rooms were well appointed and beds were comfortable. I will probably be back.

is it park royal or puke royal

Would not recommend Tue, Dec 29, 2015
room was ok but no fridge and coffee maker. No internet in room unless you want to pay $15 per day for a connection that barely works anyway. The food was awful. Artificial, cheap processed tasteless food. Not one thing we wanted 2nds. I was on the toilet minutes after the first meal. This place needs major improvements! Remember-flush twice. Its a long way to the kitchen.

Would recommend Tue, Dec 22, 2015
Great place to go for diving or snorkeling if you like super clean hotels this one is , however all walkways are rough cobble stone but beautiful . The wait staff and bartenders are great , however if your used to the service in cancun with so many waiters around the pools you wont find that here , you will need to fetch your own drinks for the most part unless you happen to be in the bikini bar and you meet Luis a thirty year veteran of the resort he is the man . The upper management of the resort were very cold and lacked in making you feel like you weren't even there , I witnessed one even pushing his way around the main buffet breakfast in between people to get his food without so much as an excuse me or please how rude . Overall though if you want a very quiet tranquil vacation this place is great they are in the process of making many changes such as the new café sole that opened before we left coffee and capuchino and all that plus treats and ice cream very good . If you want a great beach rent a jeep and go to the other side of the island none of the resorts that I saw had much beach along the water .

We took a Honeymoon Package but ...

Would recommend Wed, Dec 9, 2015
...I had to ask for every little thing on it. Avoid waisting your time listening them about the Time Share Package explanation, that's so boring ! Plus they offer you things that you can't take at the end of the explanation (Concierge is the worst). If it was a good experience is because the resort is nice, good location with own beach, 2 whirlpools and 3 swimming pools. Food no good or bad. Service is good at the bars, beach and Mexican and Italian restaurants.

Awesome Vacation

Would recommend Sat, Nov 28, 2015
Resort and staff was great. Rooms were nice. Took a couple days to get used to cold or luke warm shower but survived. Free Internet worked in lobby and room sometimes, paid Internet was better for room but still intermittent. On site Buffet and restaurants were great for both food and drinks. Always had something going on for the kids and adults at the resort. Made for great fun for all.

Great Trip With Friends

Would not recommend Mon, Nov 16, 2015
The rooms are functional, nice, clean and have plenty of room. They are not luxury and don't even have a clock. We had no problems with hot water but talked to many who did. More than 50 of the guests we spoke with had issues with this every day. It was a further source of irritation to have management and others tell them that cold water was as hot as it got. The a la carte restaurants were ok. We ate our meals but they weren't anything to write home about. The staff in the buffet restaurant tried very hard to please everyone and we actually liked the buffet better than the a la cartes. There are stairs everywhere, along with very rough, uneven walkways. If you have any issues getting around (and even if you don't) this place is a place waiting for stumbles and falls. The grounds are beautiful and well manicured. There isn't much beach to speak of and we didn't spend much time there. The entertainment staff at the pools and at the amphitheater (at night) try to very hard and do a great job at being entertaining. Staff and guests alike are friendly and we met lots of people to have fun with. While we were there they began changing the signs on the hotel from Park Royal to Grand Park Royal and we were told the hotel was being upgraded to a higher star level in December. We were also told the prices would then reflect the upgraded status. I wouldn't pay anymore for this hotel unless they make some major upgrades, so I am rating this review not recommend to friend just because of this. Overall we enjoyed our stay and made the best of it. These few complaints aren't vacation-ruining things but are things people should know.

Best Place, Great Staff

Would recommend Sat, Nov 7, 2015
I have been to this Park Royal 6 times (2x/year for 3 yrs) I am so comfortable here with the staff, the amenities, the location I am unwilling to go any place else. Rolando, Carlos, and many of the pool bar staff are highly accommodating and we enjoy having them on staff. I feel very at home when I vacation here.
