Economical Getaway

This hotel is average and ordinary. 1 swim up bar and 1 other non swim up by the beach. Man made beach is on other side of road but quick access from hotel. Snorkeling is amazing off the coral directly across from the hotel; however need to rent snorkeling equipment from dive shop unless you do it as an organized activity with the hotel. Food needs more variety but still quite tasty. They do have a la carte restaurant.

Wonderful vacation

The staff at this facility was wonderful and was a big plus in our vacation. People were great! The entertainer and activities directors were Very energetic!! Very friendly guys! The conciere was wonderful with assisting in directing where to go-she even took the time to take my husband and me to get a rental jeep. The staff are WONDERFUL...we loved all of them! The room we had was close to the lobby...which I really liked. .. Accessible to grab a quick coffee any time of the day or night. The room was clean and smelled really nice. The bed was very comfortable. The food was very good and the buffet had different kinds of food each night of our stay. The activity director actually invited us to take a trip to snorkel in the "Sky", very beautiful water. I will definitely go back!

Good place to stay

Rooms were comfortable, even though we had to wait to get one of the rooms reserved. Staff was helpful. Food was average for buffet. Really need a al a carte restaurant for all meals. Room service was quick when used late night. Beach was clean, and was not a problem being across the road. Night activity has something to be desired since you are not real close to any other place other than to go by cab or rent a car. Overall we were happy and would go again.

vacation to cozumel

Just got back from the fiesta americana the staff is awesome they will do anything to make you happy. The food was alright all buffet food except they have one resturant for dinner that you have to make reservations for. They one thing thing that I did not like the bed and pillows where very hard. Overall I would say the resort is a 3 star not a 4 star when we looked at the reviews.

Decent value

The entry level room we had smelled moldy and had 2 beds instead of the king we wanted. We paid almost $300 extra to upgrade for the week but it was a much nicer room with an awesome view of the sunset. I was surprised the snorkeling wasn't better. The food and drink were average and there weren't enough chairs by the pool/beach. I guess since it is geared towards divers, they don't focus on those who don't dive every day. Hotel is too far to walk to town and there isn't much around so you need to take a $10 cab ride each way or rent a car. I would recommend staying here if you can get it at a good price, otherwise, probably not as there are nicer all-inclusive places nearby.

Sightseeing tip: Short drive from hotel

I always like to go to the lighthouse on the southern end of the island. The crocodiles and the lake tour are fun and the beaches/snorkeling are good. It is only $12 per person, which isn't bad.

Very professional hotel

A very nice Mexican operated hotel that goes the extra mile to make guests feel welcome and satisfied. The staff even remembered my name throughout our stay. Extra large rooms, with comfortable Cal King beds. The dive operation is very professional and personable. My partner got PADI Open Water Diver certified - they have a fully professional staff available, plus a wide variety of dive boats for every level of diving experience. HIghly recommended !!

Great dive resort

The Dive House is a great operation at the hotel. Location of hotel close enough to get downtown, and south enough for dive boats to hit southern island for best diving. Sort of midway. Draw back is all inclusive buffet style meals, not very good at all. Drinks were worth it.

The Lobster House north ofdowntown has the best lobster you could ever find. That's the only thing on the menue. Pay by weight. Worth the taxi drive.

Great Times, Great deal

Amazing snorkling and diving just steps from your beach day bed or chair. Staff is great, the drinks are great and so is the food. My entire family thought its a fabulous deal. Doesn't have a hot tub - my only issue with the place.
