Wonderful wedding excursion
This resort had a great atmosphere, very friendly, helpful staff and a variety of activities and events for family members of all ages. We really enjoyed the all-inclusive nature of the facility and found the staff extremely helpful in planning events and excurions in the Cozumel area.

Great Family Spring Break!
Room -oversized, balcony, clean, great view of pier and ocean, cool sunsets. Beach - lots of fish, good snorkel, bring watershoes. Ironshore with tidal pools, iguanas, birds. Food - fresh tortillas, great breakfast, could always find something to eat. Beautiful beachside view. Pools are fine, drinks are fine, 5 minutes from town. Locally owned. Recommend getting stocked mini-fridge, well worth it. Clean and maintained. Rented a taxi but we could have stayed at the resort all the time, mini-golf, tennis, beach walking, watersports. Hard working friendly people. No safety concerns. Not a mega resort did not want one. We chose to eat at the buffet, many did the al acarte so I assume it was good. No complaints. Tip staff they more than deserve it.

Manatee Encounter was great at Chankanaab. Rented a taxi from hotel to see the East Coast, starting with San Gervasio Ruins then to El Mirador photo op, then down to Punta Sur Lighthouse and Croc overlook. Also a beach there but ran out of time!

Great for Snorkeling!
The hotel was great and the room view was spectacular! The snorkeling right in front of the hotel was spectacular! The pool was great! I only gave it a 3 because the food there was really bad. There was only one restaurant and one buffet to choose from so we left to go eat a couple times. The hot tub was cold the whole time... no big deal... There was a lot of language barrier, not many employees knew English which I guess made it more authentic but frustrating at times. If you are getting mixed drinks ask for the good stuff and they have it you just have to ask for it. The bed was extremely hard but if you drink enough it wont matter. Last complaint was there was no real entertainment in the evening. Casino night was ok but thats all we saw. We were there to snorkel and lay on the beach so for that it was perfect!

Great time
Just got back from 5 days at el cozumeleno, the all inclusive was a great value, cant complain about the cleanliness the staff was always busy. I would recommend staying as a good value. We weren't always having our needs met as some were but we totally enjoyed our visit and would go back if we return to cozumel.

Eat at the restaurant, we assumed the food would be the same as the buffet, but were pleasantly surprised at the great service and excellent food served.

Most relaxing vacation we ever had
This was the cleanest resort (or hotel for that matter), that I have ever seen. The staff was the best, and very attentive. Would highly recommend as we plan on returning.

Had a great time on our honeymoon/family vacation
The resort was very clean. Most of the staff was very accomodating, except a couple of barteners (who were overworked by being only one at a location where two or three was needed), Noemi and Edgar were outstanding. The beds and pillows are a bit hard, but rooms are very nice and very clean. It could use a little more evening entertainment, but overall, it was a great stay.

Something for everyone
We like the Cozumeleño. The people (staff) are fantastic!! The swimming pool is amazing; it's a work of art. We don't usually hang out there, alot, since it's a bit noisy, but love seeing everyday from our balcony. They have great outdoor bars (including one you can swim up to), and a quieter pool, too. Plenty of beach area, and chairs, loungers so you can always find a place to relax. Food is so/so for me; my husband loves it. Don't care for the tap beer and the "cheap" cocktails, but you can order a call liquor.

Rent a motor scooter (or jeep) to tool around the island. The uninhabited side is absolutely gorgeous to drive along. Amazing waves and beach, plus a couple of fun little places to stop and have a drink or dinner. The drivers from Cozumel are very sane and rational; we've never felt unsafe on our scooter!

Taxi fares are required to go anywhere, cheapest car rental with insurance is $85, scooters are $35. We heard that if you rent a car downtown on the internet you can get it for less. I'd check into that if I went back. ATMs have HUGE fees $20-50--watch those, too.

Great vacation
I have never seen a cleaner resort...they clean all day and night...never have seen anything like it. Food is good not great but good especially for the money. Resort is very well kept and pleasant to the eye...staff is very, very, very friendly. Good snorkeling at the beach at the resort...also can just swim without stepping on to many rocks.

A Great Place to Stay!
We really enjoyed our stay at El Cozumeleno! The entire hotel and its grounds is well kept and clean. The staff is friendly and provides excellent service. The beach is the best! El Cozumeleno has a protected area which is great for snorkeling right off the beach. The all-inclusive package is a great value.
