Clear ocean views and a ladder’s climb away from diving on Cozumel
A statue of leaping, diving dolphins greet guests of the Coral Princess Hotel and Resort as they enter the bright lobby. This spot is a short cab ride away from the piers in downtown Cozumel, leaving ocean views clear and putting great snorkeling at close reach: just a ladder’s climb off the hotel’s man-made beachfront to the waiting reef below. An equipped gym, spa, dive shop and free Wi-Fi round out the hotel’s amenities. K8, the hotel bar, hosts a daily hour of karaoke and happy hour chimes at the swim-up poolside bar daily.Highlights
- Unobstructed ocean views
- Snorkel right from the hotel’s man-made beachfront; pro dive shop in-house
- K8, the hotel bar, hosts karaoke parties daily
- Gym and spa
- Free Wi-Fi
Rooms
Bright white and ocean blue are popular colors on Cozumel, and at the Coral Princess Hotel and Resort, it is no different: sun-bleached sheets dress the beds and royal blue countertops provide a pop of color in the living area and bath. Pale blonde wood headboard and furniture lend a beach-front look. Terraces offer an airy spot to watch the sun set. Rooms come in one, two or three bedroom suites; rooms with three beds accommodate up to eight guests. Kids under 12 stay free in their parents’ room.Recreation
A massive swimming pool is the only thing between guests and the waiting Caribbean. Recline under a tropical umbrella on the Coral Princess Hotel and Resort's man-made beachfront or climb down the waiting ladder to explore the coral reef for immediate snorkeling gratification. In-house amenities include an equipped gym with an ocean view, a spa which gives beachfront massages and pro dive shop. A travel agent is in-house to help plan excursions. The hotel bar, K8, has an hour of karaoke every day. Free Wi-Fi throughout the hotel means guests will always be connected.Transportation

First time diving
It was obvisiously a slow week while we were there. That made it great for us. There was hardly anyone else there. As usual the service was great. The staff at the hotel is always glad to see us, or so it seems. They have an onsite dive shop there with a great dive master. He his very helpful and knowledgeable about diving. We look forward to staying there next year. I don't expect the 5% discount, we didn't get it last either.

Shopping tip:
Short drive from hotel
Don't go to town while the cruise ship are in. The town gets very crowded and the prices at the shops go up.

Great time at coral princess
The hotel itself is a 3.5 star, but its all the other things that make it a 5 star. The hotel is very small so you never wait for anything and very personalised service. The pool is heated and an actual hot hot tub were nice after swimming in the ocean. We were there for seven days and they had pool side bands two nights. The restaurant food is good. Although you are so close to town to go out for dinner, where your options are endless. We had a 1 bedroom suite which had a full kitchen. The room itself is 3.5 star, but feels very clean. The kitchen is nice to be able to brew your own coffee and make up some sandwiches. We had two patios, one off of the main room and one off of the bedroom. This was so nice to be able to open up the doors at night and listen to the waves. When you are lying in bed or sitting on your patio all you see is sky and ocean. Its like being on a cruise ship sitting on your patio when your doing your at sea day. If your looking for quiet and relaxing, with personalised service this is the place for you.

If your dining anywhere always ask the price of the bottle of wine up front. Never order the bottle and wait for the price on your bill. If you do it will be double or triple the real price. There is no wine list,it is either red or white.

comfortable stay
check in was late, reception was not all that helpful, keep saying to check tomorrow. Room was a little tight with 2 double beds, but who spends a lot of time there, if you plan to watch TV go for the 1 bedroom suite. Lots of closet space and drawers. Nice ocen view, but will request a balcony next yr. Air conditioner was good, but i like to sleep with the sliding doors open. No bugs. Food for breakfast was adequate, coffee great, service great. Spa staff wonderful, good snorkel access. Pool water was a little warm, very clean. Beach towels - some were a little thin. Will stay again, if you want luxury go elsewhere, but if you want comfort, and to feel homey- stay here.

Great week in Cozumel
As usual, all goes well at the Coral Princess. Been staying here on and off for 15 years. The guys up front are the best-ANYWHERE! That's Pedro & Jamie. I enjoy talking with them in Mayan. Always a good laugh here. This was carnival week so downtown rocked! Can't beat this place- clean with smiling faces and a full complimentory breakfast included. Always a pleasure to see everyone here.

Get a car. Go over to the eastern/windward side. Stop at Mescalitos, Coconuts & Playa Bonita for cervasa & great food. Check out downtown, Guidos, Kellys, New Orleans, La Chozia- great food & people, its all there. If you are a shopper, try the back streets 10th & 15th Ave between calle 4 norte & calle 6 sur. If the cruizies are in, go early & avoid the main street in San Miguel.

Relaxing Time
This was our second year at this hotel. The staff has become like family. They are so cordial and helpful. Hotel is very clean and well maintained. The amenities are not as good as other hotels, but were all we needed. Breakfast was included and was spectacular. Great value for the buck.

Great for diving
The Coral Princess has the dive shop Pepe's connected to it and makes diving very convenient. We Went Diving 6 out of 7 days and loved it. Dive with Abdias. It was great to get off the boat at noon, grab a chair on the beach, order lunch and take a little nap afterwards. It doesn't get any better than that! The room was a bit tight with two double beds, but adequate. Concierge service was amazing! Great hotel recommendations and quick to help with a cab or whatnot. Het even kept track of our friends and let us know where to find them!

Convenient and fun!
This hotel was perfect for our family of 4 - 2 adults and 2 college kids. The location is great - right on the sea with beautiful snorkeling and 5 minutes from town or the airport. There is a sandy area with lots of beach chairs and 2 swimming pools with a bar and friendly waiters. We felt indulged but liked that this wasn't an "all-inclusive." The breakfast, which was included, was elaborate. The restaurant food is pretty good but we enjoyed going into town some evenings for variety. Taxis are inexpensive but we did rent a car at the hotel for a couple of days to explore the more remote parts of the island. Our rooms were incredibly clean and the "ocean-view" ones really are spectacular. The jungle-view, though cheaper, are on street side and would have been disappointing if we hadn't also had the connecting ocean side one. We only had 2 minor complaints: The hotel rooms are not carpeted (probably wise with all of the sand) so chairs in the kitchenettes above us screeeched every time our neighbors moved -starting very early every morning. Probably just bad luck this time but wheels or cushions on chairs would be a simple fix. Desk staff was sympathetic when we finally complained and promised to speak to our neighbors but it didn't change. Other sort of stupid annoyance was that you're charged for each packet of coffee that you use in your room coffee-maker - seemed to cheapen the otherwise luxurious feel.

The hotel brought in a live band one night and had a pool/beach side barbeque with dancing. Not sure how regularly this is done but it was very fun for all of us.
