The Casa Del Mar Cozumel hotel is tailor-made for divers, and has the Del Mar Aquatics dive shop on-site. A fleet of boats takes divers out to their reef of choice -- 17 in all. The hotel has partnered with Nachi Cocom, a beach club that offers outdoor activities including diving, snorkeling, massage and sports. The Coral Reef restaurant offers traditional dishes and a poolside bar serves cocktails. Meal plans are available on a daily basis. Great Spring 2013 Break Getaway
We've explored the island and concluded that Casa Del Mar was the best pick of them all. It is not all-inclusive, but felt like it was. Did not expect but two night in a row got a dance crew that were as good as any crew on a cruise ship. Was a great show of Latin dances.Food was great. Dined at different in town restaurants and beach clubs. Hotel's kitchen was a winner. Drinks .. as great as you want them. Service... Can't complain. You won't get the plastic smile and peppy chatter. But it is solid and efficient. Just need to adjust to a different pace and customs. Helps to speak the native tongue. Beware: hot tub never gets hot. Wake up call is not guaranteed. Something needing fixing may not get resolved right away. Language barrier could complicate things. You won't get the information on the island from the staff behind the desk. Their beech club is just as good as any other. Beach is a beach. Same water, same sand. Snorkeling was great too. Found a couple spots with some fish.I would not recommend going any other place, unless you have kids that crave blow up mountains on the water. Get a rental car, instead of taking taxi everywhere. Hotel has a dive shop. So, it a diver's spot. But, snorkeling is the best on town right off the hotel beach. Same spot where all the cruise ships take people. Just bring your gear or rent in the shop next door.

Good price and very good quality for this money
We stay in Cozumel first time and we like this hotel. The location is perfect. We recomend to buy buffet breakfast in hotel restaurant.

Basic hotel but probably super for divers.
This hotel is 90% used by divers, which means that there are plenty of free sunbeds for the non divers. Garden and pool area was well kept but it would have been nice with some parasols for shade by the sun beds. Reasonable prices in the restaurant but limited menu. Breakfast is rather bland. Shower was not hot. On our arrival we were greeted by a moldy smell in the lobby.

Dive with Roberta's Eco-Dive just across the road to the left of Atlantis. They were a lot more friendly than the dive shop of the hotel.

best dive hotel on cozumel island.
Have stayed at Casa del Mar every year since 05. Everything about this hotel is right on the mark if you're about diving. The entire staff will make your stay great. Just got back , will have to wait till next March.

perfect mid size hotel
Third time at this hotel. Just the right size for us. Not too big. We go to scuba dive and this hotel meets our needs better than the all inclusives or the downtown hotels. Free internet in the lobby and the food is good.

THIS HOTEL WILL NICKLE AND DIME YOU TO DEATH. NO BEACH TOWELS UNLESS YOU WERE LUCKY. NO FREE BREAKFAST AS STATED. NO HOT OR WARM WATER FOR THREE DAYS. POOL WAS CLOSED FOR DAYS 3 THRU 5. BETTER OFF WITH AN ALL INCLUSIVE ELSEWHERE.

Big fans of Cozumel
Great for family and divers
My spouse and I first stayed at Casa Del Mar over 20 years ago, when we honeymooned in Cozumel to experience the great diving. Fast forward twenty years and we returned with our two teenage daughters for Spring Break 2011. Upon checking in I asked the gentleman receiving us how long he had worked there because he looked familiar. He said he'd been working there 19 years! (We have been guests at CDM a few times over the 20+ years, the last time in 2004.) CDM is the same friendly, laid back, peaceful hotel it was 20 years ago. The staff is great.
