The Westin Resort and Spa Cancun

The Westin Resort and Spa was most disappointing this second time around. I was most recently at this resort in May of this year and in the last almost 4 months there have been many changes that have occured. First, there were no safes in the room and you are basically forced to use the safe at the front desk. Second, the staff at the front desk was not very helpful and made check-in most difficult. Our flight had arrived at 1pm and we were told that we could not check-in until 4pm. We had such ease with check-in on our last visit. They gave us the worst room on the 1st floor that had a mildew odor and the A/C was very noisy as well, which made it very difficult for my husband, who could normally sleep through the A-bomb, to sleep. After 2 days we ended up leaving the resort and checked into another resort from a promo offered through our timeshare.

I enjoyed my stay at The Westin Resort & Spa in Cancun, it was very clean, and spacious. The beds were very comfortable and the bathroom had lots of shelves and couter top space. The staff was very attentive and friendly. The food was great, (I loved the coconut shrimp) and the drinks were delicious. I will definitely stay at The Westin when I go to Cancun next year.

The Westin Cancun was indeed and great place to stay. Our window opened up to the beach and had shutters. So I could open the window and close the shutters and fall asleep to the sound of the ocean. The beeds were so comfortable that most mornings it was hard for me to get up. It was some of the best sleep I have had in years. My fiance even got on line once we arrived home to see if we could purchase one of these beds.

It's not in the party zone but short bus ride away. Beautiful beach and great friendly staff. Really had a wonderful time.

The Westin Resort and Spa was a wonderful hotel. My fiancee and I stayed there to celebrate our engagement. The resort offers wonderful views of the sky blue Caribbean Ocean. The hotel is located at the end of the strip which is great because it isn't too loud or crowded. It's 10 minutes from Cancun Airport and downtown Cancun. Our room was painted a lovely dark blue, and shaped like an adobe. The hotel staff were very friendly, and the food was great.

The Westin has beautiful outdoor grounds. There are several pools and it is located on the beach. The hotel rooms need to be remodeled and so do the hallways that lead to the rooms. The food was somewhat pricey for the quality. Also bug repellent is necessary 24/7. The Westin is a descent hotel for a reasonable price...

I stayed at Westin with my wife (no kids). Since the hotel is located at the far corner of the hotel zone, we spent quite a relaxing time on the beach. Hotel staff including bar staff was very friendly and supportive. Room was clean and neat. When we first entered into the room, it seemed a little humid but we got used to it. I don't know it's tipical for the hotels in Cancun due to its climate because this was the first time for us to stay in Cancun. Although restaurants and attraction sites might not be within walk-distance from the hotel, we used buses to go there. Since they were cheap and convenient (we could find a bus every 30 seconds in day time 2 minitues in night time), we didn't feel any inconvenience during the stay to go out of the hotel.

This hotel is okay for the money. We had a group of 3 couples together. One couple had mold in their vents (which never got fixed during our stay). Drawers were broken. Who knows maybe its just our room. One thing I really missed was that the hot tub was not available to us. Its only available if you're part of the Royal Beach Club. After being out all day, it wouldnve been nice to unwind in a hot tub.

The Westin staff was exceptionally friendly and went out of their way to please. I stayed for a week and servers recognized me by name by the end of day one. The room was neat and clean with high ceilings, a desk, chair, and comfortable bed. However, the air conditioning could have done a better job of keeping the humidity down. The location is at the start of the resort strip when coming from the airport with easy 24 hour bus transportation into town. BEST BEACH on the strip! Many of the resorts have smaller beaches without sun shelters but this one had plenty of lounge chairs, soft sand, sun shelters etc. As far as restaurants I recommend the Mexican restaurant that's off the entrance to the lobby. Best food while I was in Cancun.
