The Westin Resort and Spa Cancun

Staff was great, very knowledgeable and helpful since this was my first time in Cancun. Rooms were average a bit worn but pool and beach areas were great. Overall my stay there was good one.

Met our expectations based on our previous stay 4 years ago.

I stayed in this hotel about 2 yrs ago and it was fine for the value, this trip, not so much so. The staff was very nice, but there is a major issue with the rooms and the doors. We stayed on the 4th floor and it is apparent that they have changed out the lock/key system. However it is not good at all. The doors constantly slam when a person enters or departs their room. Thus, if you are sleeping and the room next to you or across from you comes in at 3am, their doors slams. Then you finally get back to sleep and the person on the other side gets up at 7am to leave and their door slams as they depart. A guest has to be mindful of it and that is not always the case when people are on vacation. Due to the changes in the locks it is almost impossible for the doors not to slam when a guest leaves. We stayed on the 4th floor and I do not know if this is the case for other floors. The view was wonderful, but during our stay there my daughter and I lacked for a good night sleep. I did speak with the front desk and they did not feel there was much they could do. My family and I have utilized on line travel services previously many times before and this is the first time I had to write a disappointing review.

This was our second time at the hotel. The first time we went as a couple. This time we brought our friends back for vacation. We stayed in the royal beach club (RBC) both times. It is worth paying for the upgrade and you get free breakfast in the morning and free happy hour at night. We also staying in the Ocean View RBC rooms, which had a balcony attached. It was great to feel close to the ocean, even when you were in the room. The beach here is nice and there is good snorkeling just down the beach. The food is reasonable, but there is not too much variety to it. This beach is at the end of the hotel strip and is really quiet. It is away from a lot of the action. If you want quite, this is good, otherwise it might be a drawback. Overall, the Royal Beach Club at the Westin is a great value for everything you get.

Overall it is a good hotel, but less quality than other Westin hotels we have stayed before. The bed is not comfortable, usually a strong point for the Westins. But the waether and beach in Cancun is so nice ytou are not diaappointed with Westin even it is not perfect.

free breakfast and free happy hour 5-8pm included drinks and appetizers, so this trip was a steal decent snorkeling, good service (only minor issues like odd room service times a couple days) overall an excellent time

Very close to airport at beginning of hotel zone Bus to Cancun shopping stops in front of hotel. Staff was great. Rooms spacious and views of either lagoon or the sea are wonderful. Multiple pools. The surf in front of hotel is a little rough, so walk down a little to the beach in front of Club Med and the area is protected with some good snorkeling also. Decent restaurants on premises, and multiple bars. Bar and food service on the beach. This is a quiet place and my wife and I had a great time. Would definitely go back. Great wait staff at restaurant .

My wife and I stayed there for an entire week. Everyone in the hotel was very nice. The pools were always clean. The couple of time we ate at the restaurant, the food was excellent. It's a few bucks more then if you were to eat out in the states, but overall it was good food. The beach was calm, cool temp. and clear. The hotel was quite, everyone we encountered seemed to make sure we were enjoying our stay. Clean sheets and bathroom.

We had spend with my wife just one night before the early flight from Yucatan. Hotel was in best location close to the airport of Cancun. We could have a very good rest before the long trip home.

This hotel should not carry the Westin name. The cleanliness of the hotel was sub par. The carpets throughout the hallways were stained and never appeared to be vacuumed. Trash was left in window sills and on the floor for hours even after the cleaning staff had cleaned the rooms. We were moved 5 times until we found a suitable room. The first room wasn't cleaned when we arrived. The second smell and the third and fourth were dirty as well. It was ridiculous.
