The Westin Lagunamar Ocean Resort Villas & Spa, Cancun

The Westin Lagunamar Ocena resort location was good for shopping areas. There were two big shopping areas nearby hotel. The security of the hotel and the nearby hotel area was quite good. This hotel was also really clean. However, their check in time starts at 4:00PM. It was 1:00PM when I arrived there. They allowed me to check in, but they said I have to pick up the room key after 4:00PM. The reason was they need to clean up my room. That was fine. But when I picked up my room key at night, they lost my luggage what they kept, They made me to wait more than an hour to send my luggage to my room. Also, their hotel restaurant food was not that qualitative comparing with their hotel name value. Also, one night when I came back from a tour, they were started to clean up my room at that time. It is supposed to be finished until the afternoon around 4PM. Also, they offered wi-fi service, but the signal is too poor at the room. Especially, at night, around 8~10PM had poor wi-fi signal at the room. I recommend to go to business center for using Internet. Overall, the location was good, security and cleanliness was quite good. However, they need to ameliorate their quality of service and hotel restaurant's food quality.

Fantastic location right across from La Isla Mall with lots of choices for snacks and dinner. I stayed in the new section in room 1314 which was advertised as "ocean view". Not really as I could see a tiny spot of the ocean in the distance between the buildings. Room was gorgeous and HUGE and appointed with everything necessary to cook and launder. Only issue is that they never really "thoroughly" cleaned after contruction as there was dust everywhere. Other than that, beautiful clean resort with a friendly staff.

They are very accommodating and friendly. The staff there were helpful in making our trip the best that it could be. The hotel is set up really nice with a great sized infinity pool and lots of things to do. The rooms are clean but do not recommend a room on ground floor, we saw a bug.

Room itself was awesome, only thing missing was the large terrace with jacuzzi the that the Sheraton (that was previously on the same grounds) had. Full kitchen, dining room, living room, NICE bath & bedroom & it's own in room washer & dryer ! I LOVED that ! I was fortunate enough to stay during the summer sea turtle nesting season and got to see 2 while I was there. There were obviously many more to be seen had I stayed up at night to turtle watch, but that alone was very cool ! Great pool, swim up bar, great view. On the down side, the hotel is so brand new that it's still under construction. So you will likely see and hear at least some of the construction. More in some areas than others. Location is as good as it gets in Cancun, right across the street from La Isla shopping plaza, and close enough to walk to 2 other malls as well.

This was my second time at this hotel. I love the comfortable room. The bed and bedding are fantastic and the bathtub is wonderful. A/C works well, lots of water pressure. Really nice comforter on the bed.

I really liked thr location, it was avery nice experience had a very large room, it was a time share they rented to me.

The hotel is very beautiful with a perfect location. The swimingpool is great! My only complain is the telephone service because Front Desk takes to long to pick up calls.

I was looking for a relaxing getaway by myself just to lay by the pool, eat good food, read and take care of myself. I was able to do all of that and more at the Westin Lagunamar Ocean Resort. The staff was super friendly and helpful. My room was beautiful. The infinity pool was absolutely amazing. An added bonus was the hotels proximity to two large malls and the bus line. I was able to get anywhere in the city that I needed. My only complaints if you can call them that were some small maintenance issues(broken knob & trim) and the persistence of the timeshare sales team to make an appointment. No big deal though. There is no spa on site but I was given access to Le Meridan down the street and had a wonderful day exploring a different hotel and enjoying a massage. Overall I was very pleased and was sad to have to leave, I can't wait to go back!

The entrance to this hotel is spectacular. Breath taking views to the ocean. The hotel's location is perfect with a shopping mall complete with restaurants across the street. The staff was top of the line. The food was great also. The best thing by far about this hotel is the pool. I can't say enough how much we liked this hotel.
