One registered guest in each villa must be at least 25 years of age and willing to accept responsibility for the actions of all villa occupants.
Guests staying on Saturday night may need to change units. The hotel will work to avoid this scenario, but when necessary, management will work directly with guests to streamline this process.
The beach is just the beginning! The resort offers plenty of activities to keep you and your children entertained. Enjoy the oversized freshwater pools, play tennis, stay trim at the fitness center and try your hand at sail boating on the lagoon. There are additional amenities at The Royal Mayan and The Royal Islander next door.
As the sun goes down and the Cancun skyline sparkles with lights, it's time to think about dinner, and there are five restaurants to choose from in the tri-resort complex, each offering a different menu and ambiance.
Location
The Royal Caribbean is located in the Cancun Hotel Zone between The Royal Mayan and The Royal Islander. The nearest golf course is the Kukulcan Golf Club at the Hilton Cancun and Kukulcan Plaza and La Isla Shopping Village are a ten-minute drive away.

Nice beachfront location!
We got a beachfront room with views and sounds of the ocean! The hotel discouraged us from opening the sliding glass door, but we did it anyway to enjoy the fresh ocean air in our room...what a stupid policy for an oceanfront room! We didn't have a good experience after we got our room. The key to the room did not work. We had to go back and forth five times from our room to the reception desk (which was a bit of a hike) to report that the key didn't work after they said it was fixed. It took them five hours before problem was resolved...not a good first impression.

Money-saving tip:
Short walk from hotel
There is a local bus stop by the hotel which takes you up and down Hotel Zone for shopping, etc. for only 70 pesos each way (less than $1). There are a few shopping malls nearby if you want to shop. There's a R-1 bus that takes you to the port to catch a ferry to Isla Mujeres which costs $15 round trip...this one runs up to 11 pm...there is a ferry you can catch in the Hotel Zone which costs $17 round trip but that only runs until 6pm I believe.

A quick get-away
A very nice resort with extremely friendly and helpful staff. I wanted to stay somewhere near the beach and this fit the bill. A beautiful, well-kept beach just steps away. A very spacious living, dining, kitchen area. We didn't use a lot of the amenities, but there was a huge, meandering pool so it never seemed crowded and pool activities for those who wished to participate. The only glitch was that since we stayed over until Sunday, we had to relocate for the last day (their normal rental period is Saturday till Saturday). It was a bit of a hassle, but it did give us a different perspective from the top floor of a differently oriented building.

A good place for families
We didn't realize this hotel is primarily time shares and not a full service hotel. Lots of family groups there for Xmas vacation. Many many children. It was pleasant there, but, as a couple, it wasn't what we wanted. Also, a free Sunset Cruise was to be included with our reservation. We called and booked the cruise with Greyline Tours and they never came to pick us up! Disappointing.

Last minute vacation
My husband and I decided last minute to go to Cancun. We were there Aug. 13-17, 2012. The Royal Caribbean was a very nice place. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The hotel rooms were really nice, and cleaned thoroughly everyday. The outside grounds are well kept and they are always maintaining it. We had a problem with our air conditioner not working and our phone, but they got technicians on both problems and both were solved right away. Will stay here again or the other Royal hotels. Had a nice view of the pool and ocean. Looking forward to going back.

Great opportunities for golf
As grandparents we were happy to find a place where we could find a convenient golf course as well as enjoy our grandson playing with his new found friends in the kiddie pool. The staff treated us cordially at every opportunity. There were many restaurant choices in the vicinity and since we had a rental car we were able to take advantage of them. Overall, a fine time was had by all.

Royal Caribbean, Cancun
The experience as a whole was very very good. One thing happened while we were there that will leave a bad taste though. My wife went up to the room one day to find 2 maids and a maintenance man in our room, and a what looked like a mixed drink on the counter that looked like it could have been made from alcohol bottles that we had there on the counter in our room. We notified the management and they said they spoke to the employees involved?

An amazing week at the Royal Caribbean!
Don't hesitate to book your room(s) at the R.C. or any of Royals resorts in Cancun. The service, the rates, the activities were *totalmente perfecto!* Better than a great value, it was easily worth double what we paid! Though this was our first trip to Cancun, we travel often and have moderately-high expectations of our accommodations. In our quest to post a 'fair' review, we were determined to pinpoint at least one item that didn't far exceed those expectations. It wasn't easy, but we came up with this; the distance from the beach to the room could have been shorter. That's it! The employees (at 3 of the Royal properties we visited) were consistently enthusiastic, helpful and seemed genuinely eager to make our Caribbean vacation memorable and exciting. The resort itself is stunning and in a perfect location to ensure timely travel throughout the hotel zone. Rather than spending a small fortune on taxi service, we found the local buses to be safe and simple, with a stop conveniently located on the RC property. Royal also provides a private shuttle to transport guests between the resort's properties. We booked 3 excursions through the concierge (Isla Mujeres, Chitzen Itza and Captain Hook's Dinner) Each trip had a seamless itinerary and was reasonably priced. It's difficult to ignore the reports you hear of violence escalating in MX, but don't hesitate to book your trip to Cancun - and the Royal Resorts. We found both to be safe, family-friendly and above all, loads of fun!

We had considered booking an All-Inclusive pkg and were glad we chose not to. It would have been shameful to have felt obligated to "get our money's worth" at one place when the dining options in the Hotel Zone were abundante... and delicioso!
