The Beloved Hotel Playa Mujeres by Excellence - All Inclusive Family Friendly

Super experience in all respects. Relief from the mass tourism of the Cancun hotel zone. However, the location is rather isolated, which is great in some ways but a renrtal car is necessary to get out and around.

Property was amazing and so was the staff. Our room was beautiful. Food was good and not over priced. I liked everything about the hotel.

Great property! Access to spa facilities should be included in rate, but other than that it was a very good experience. Get a car and you'll be able to take off when you want or need to (like to visit the ruins of Tulum or buy a tasty street-grilled chicken) and then return to one of the nicest properties with a beach I have ever been to. Ariba!

We were there for five days over the Thanksgiving holiday and had a fantastic time. Do not be misled by the reasonableness of the price. This is a luxury operation and attracts a well traveled and sophisticated crowd. First, the staff is both professional and the friendliest I have experienced. Second, the spa and the gym are the best I have seen outside of Canyon Ranch. Third, the hotel is chic from the lobby to the rooms to the spa to the dining areas and outdoor bar/lounge (with great music at night). Fourth, the food at dinner is first rate. Fifth, the rooms are luxurious with plush towels and good products. If I had to quibble it would be with two things. First, the menu is the same at dinner every night which would make it hard to stay here for a week unless you were willing to travel to dinner. Maybe a special every night or having a different menu for each day of the week (so that say all Tuesdays are the same but Tuesday and Wednesday are different) would work. There really are no close dining alternatives---you don't want to have to go to the Hotel Zone every too often because it is about 30 minutes each way. Second, the dining room wait staff is good but disorganized. They need a manager with real restaurant experience to direct both the lunch and dinner meals. As an overall experience it was wonderful and far better than hotels I have stayed at where the cost was multiples of the cost of this hotel.

This trip was divine. I recommend getting the swim up suite.. It was worth the extra money. You're a bit closer to the beach and the view of the pool is absolutely breathtaking. You can just walk straight into your room soaking wet instead of having to take the elevator or if your junior suite is on top of the hotel, you'd have to pass the restaurant Aroma. You basically have the whole beach to yourself. If you email the consierge about things to do they will email you a power point of activities. I recommend reserving the romantic dinner on the beach. The cost of that special dinner would be about the same as having normal dinners ($60usd pp)You get your own waiter. REMEMBER TO BRING LOTS OF $1 bills! Its a hassle to change into pesos for tipping.

My boyfriend I stayed at La Amada in August of 2009 and we have never been more impressed. First of all the staff were so friendly they took the time to know your name and always greet you. They offer champagne and cold towels while you check in. The rooms are unbelievable. Jacuzzi in room that can have outdoor access if you open patio door. The bed is huge and comfortable. Marble floors and the shower is marble with see through glass door and window looking into the room. The pools were very nice and clean. The water was always nice and warm/cool. The beach was clean and had many chairs available. The spa was amazing. Food at Aroma was 5 stars. Always delicous and surprising affordable. Dinner average $40-60 lunch at isla grill around $30. Everyday there were new chips and homeade salsas served before the meals. And dinner always had new items for the begining and end courses. Drinks were on the expensive side but worth it. Waiters were always looking to please you. It was off season so swim up bar was not open but look forward to going back when its up and running. It would have been nice if there would have been more restaurant choices. We didnt leave the resort because everything we wanted(besides more restaurants)was here. Ive heard it costs around $30 to leave the hotel and go into downtown where the clubs are. Location is the only thing i can see people complaining about but if you're looking to relax in luxury its the place for you. It is an amazing hotel and I am definitely going back! We miss it already!

This was the most amzaing hotel experience I've ever had. Location, cleanliness, stlye, comfort, service...everything was top notch. I can't recommend it enough.

The hotel was great. A great place to unwind and relax, although everything was pricey. ($200 for dinner for 2)
