Good deal for what you pay for. Nice people. Not a very good part of town. Restaurant was decent.

Additional information: Children 9 and under stay free in the room with parents and in existing bedding.
Terracaribe Hotel is in Cancun downtown(guests must take taxi or bus to the beach).
Hotel Amenities: An outdoor swimming pool and jacuzzi, sundeck on roof, lobby bar, laundry facilities and airport transportation (surcharge),
2 Beach Clubs
Located in the Hotel Zone. Services you can use: Beach chairs, showers, bathrooms/dressing rooms.
FREE transportation from the hotel to the beach club, 9:00 AM and back 5:00 PM, depending on availability.
Ask for your bracelet at the hotel reception.

Good
The receptionist received me in a bad mood. He was so rude, he wanted me to provide him my passport in order for him to get a copy so he could give me the room I had in my reservation. In addition the room that he gave me had blood on the floor. I asked him to changed me to another room the same night I had arrived, he did it in a bad mood.

Cancun has new malls like Isla Mall where you can see the dolphins shows and places where you can eat really good food.

Nice place
Location is very good and clean. Not a lot to do if you are not familiar with the area. Restaurant offers very good food but only open for breakfast and lunch. Staff were very helpful. Would I go back , maybe - price is right.

Great for Cancun on a budget
This hotel is perfect for Cancun on a budget. If you are not adventurous or self-sufficient, stay in the hotel zone. If you want to get a taste of the real life Mexico, then stay at this hotel. You will get a quiet, clean room, good night's rest, a very nice and extremely helpful staff, and a pool that is never crowded. As you approach the area you may think it is a little run down but remember you are in Mexico and not the US. Pay attention to how clean everything is and you won't feel threatened at all. I would stay there again.

Nice place to rest your head.
A good solid hotel for sleeping. In terms of the feel of the hotel, it was pretty basic, but had all the essentials for a good night's sleep.

Get bus R-1 round the corner to hear to the beach and hotel strip (which has some nice shopping malls).

served its purpose
no matter where u stay in cancun there is at least a 30min drive there, so don't fret about no being in the hotel zone. room was neat, and clean, people were helpful and friendly, i would absolutely stay here again. i traveled alone and i never felt unsafe

Stayed here for one night because
Stayed here for one night because of it´s proximity to the isla mujeres ferry ($25 pesos cab ride). was very happy with what i received for the price. good service, very clean, etc.

The hotel staff was very friendly and helpful. We enjoyed our stay there. I had read that they had computers for use but they don't so take your laptops.

It really depends on what you enjoy. We enjoyed staying at the Terracaribe and walking to taco shops, the grocery store and local stores. We were able to take the hotel van to the hotel zone to the beach club.
