Sun Palace
Disapointed in the suite layout; no sitting area, lack of privacy in bathroom. No instructions as to how to/know about light signals for cleaning staff. Lght switches very complicated but explained on the hotel video.

Sun Palace
This is our second visit to the Sun. Last year for our daughter's wedding. Everything was so perfect that another daughter wanted to have her wedding on the beach at the Sun this year. We plan to make return visits. The Sun handles all the details and arrangements for the wedding. It is great! Each wedding was unique and [...] did a great job!

This is our 2nd year back at Sun Palace. We went the day after Christmas in 2009 for 7 days. Due to the cost, we went the week before Christmas in 2010. Everything was as expected. The service is superb, the staff extremely helpful and nice. When you stay at SP you are definitely treated special. Palace Resort has 3 (Cancun, Beach and Moon) additional properties in Cancun available for any Palace guests. If you stay at one, you could eat or play at other Palace resorts. We figured the service would be identical, but we were wrong. SP treats you like a VIP where the other properties, treated you like one of the numbers. We figured maybe it was the wrist band we wore which designated the hotel we came from. After observing the staff for awhile, the service given to hotel guest was the same. Therefore, Sun Palace is a special place for us and we will go back.

Sun Palace Honeymoon
The Sun Palace was very accommodating and the staff made the stay very enjoyable. The nightly entertainment was a nice touch to give you different things to do during your stay at the resort. I would recommend the fire and drum show and the Michael Jackson show. Both were done through the resort's nightly entertainment. The food was very good with lots of different options. We went to each of the restaurants during our stay as well as one each at the Cancun Palace and the Beach Palace which are all included in your trip. We will definitely go to another Palace resort soon!

Shopping tip:
Short drive from hotel
The flea market, Coral Negro, at about 12km can be a bit overwhelming. The store owners get in pretty nosy and try to get you in their store, and the next owner will say, "now my turn". You can certainly talk them down in price. Its a good experience and you can find some good deals.

Excellent trip
Excellent resort. Friendly staff. The only thing that could have been different was to include more excursions in the hotel credit. Presently only limited excursions can be taken up with the provided hotel credit.

Sun Palace Review - Nov 2010
Hotel service was excellent, everything we wanted from our honeymoon, excitement, service, vacation. The staff at this hotel goes beyond what is expected and we love the turn down service we get every night. We come back to our room with everything ready for bed. The food is excellent and with the ability to eat at other Palace resort was a huge A+ for us. You can't go wrong if you want peace and quiet for adults only with no kids. Be warn that this place is for older couples (28+) and not much of a party hotel. If you're single and looking, don't look here. But if you're a newly wed couple looking for some relaxation this is the place to go

Sun Palace is at the south end of Cancun and can be a good 10 minute bus ride to downtown Cancun for nightlife and shopping. You'll be the first to get picked up and dropped off for most tours

The Sun Palace and all the palace resorts are great. We were treated likes kings at this resort. It was our honeymoon and we couldn;t have picked a better hotel. Excellet service, great food, overall PERFECT! Free tours,spa services, photo shoot, the list goes on and on and on!!!!!

Exceeded all my expectations
- The staff was superb!!! Always cheerful, always willing to help, always with a smile - the hotel was magnificent. the place was so clean it was spotless - the spa in the hotel was top notch - 1500 hotel credits allowed us to do everything we wanted to do (swimming with the dophins, speed boat racing, snorkling, spas, romantic dinners on the beach, and best of all room upgrades to a oceanview suite)
