This couples-only resort is situated along the white sands of the Caribbean Sea, 15 minutes from the airport. Sun Palace features 24-hour room service in its 252 Jacuzzi-outfitted rooms, many overlooking the water. Three outdoor infinity pools, a spa and an inside pool with two hot tubs provides a place to unwind. Meanwhile, daily activities and theme parties are lures for active travelers. There is a water sports marina and fitness center, and the property is close to the Riviera Cancun golf course (fees may apply).

Great Service, Great Stay!!!
Even though there was plenty to do, we relaxed the entire time. It rained and there was a lot of overcast but we made the best of it and the staff made us feel so welcome and made sure we were always having a good time. This trip was next to perfect and even though the sun was missing in action nothing else was. The food was excellent, the accommodations were clean and modern and the staff bent over backwards to make sure we were happy. The pools were crystal clear but the beach area was so inviting that we were there every chance we got. Our drinking glasses were never empty and neither were our stomachs, best vacation yet!

Great experience
Staying at the sun palace was different from the others I've stayed at. At first I was slightly disappointed because there was hardly anything to do at the hotel but, thankfully they had the 1500 resort credit that ultimately made it my favorite Mexican excperience. We got to try so many different things. I will definitely go back! The rooms were amazing and the food was great.

Wonderful place for couples
My fiance and I went to Cancun for the first time and spent a week at the Sun Palace. We enjoyed our stay, as everyone at the resort was friendly, hospitable and ready to help you make your trip enjoyable. Would have wanted more activities, but expected this from previous reviews by others. Overall, we were glad to be there and would come back in the future!

A great escape
My fiance and I traveled to Sun Palace the first week of June. We picked it primarily because it was couples only (no screaming children or crazy partying). We loved it. We stayed on the concierge level (which I recommend for its perks you get a dinner on the beach, better lounge chairs on beach, couples massages, and private check-in/ info desk). We also had the 1500 credits that came with our 6 night stay (we used them for a photo shoot, a trip to the Isle of Mujeres, facials & pedi's @ the spa and a stretch limo to the airport). The staff is super friendly, every single one of them. They were there to help answer any questions and accommodate any of our requests. One downside would be the food, but its free so what can you expect. A few tips 1- stay away from the Italian place, its horrible (worst Italian food I've ever had). Steak buffet is ok. The Mexican place was good. Also the Japanese place had really good sushi. Over-all a great hotel and atmosphere, we will be back next year!

DON'T PAY TICKET PRICES ON GOODS!!! It's Mexico, they are used to tourists, thus many things are highly over-priced. Haggle, talk them down. Example: I wanted a pair of beautiful Mexican silver & coral earrings on the Isle of Mujeres, the man told me they were 150$ American dollars. I got him down to 40$. Also they'res no need to convert money to pesos, everyone excepts American dollars.

Satisifed Honeymooner
Amazing experience!!!
We went to Sun Palace for our Honeymoon the first week of June. This place was simply amazing. We had a great time. The beach was beautiful, the view from our room was picture perfect, the service was great. The food was not the best out there but still it was very good. The resort credit allowed us to do several activities like zip-lining, swimming with dolphins, limousine ride etc for free. We were so impressed with all the services and amenities that we are thinking about vacationing there again next time.

Rejuvenated in Mexico
Amazing for a romantic get away
We spent the majority of our time relaxing on the beach, at the pool, and enjoying delicious food. The rooms were spotless, the waitstaff was wonderfully attentive, and the overall atmosphere was perfect!

What a great fun and relaxing vacation. The staff at the Sun Palace was incredible with their service. We will never vacation in the States again. Can not say enough positive things about this entire trip, the weather, water, food, drinks and [...]dollars were spot on. Already planning a return visit. Did I mention how great this trip was? You really need to do this!

Honeymoon May 5-12 2011
This is our 4th time vacationing in Cancun. We had big expectation about Sun Palace and they was not met. It's still nice but lacking a bunch of things that we have seen at other resorts like Aventura Spa and Temptation Resort. I still give it 3 stars. It's all concrete and sand was a big one for us. The shade comes fast in the evening because the pools are so close to the building. Bring water shoes if your going to play alot of water sports. The bottom of the pool is ruff. The $1500 to use on stuff was a biggy. Made the trip worth it.

Great time again
This was our fourth trip to Sun Palace and it was just as great as the other three. The service is the best. The staff go out of their way to make sure you enjoy your stay.

Excellent Resort!
This was our 4th trip to the Sun Palace. As always our stay was wonderful. The hotel is immaculate and the staff was superb. The food and beverages were also great. I highly recommend the Sun Palace! It is a couples only resort whic is also wonderful.
