Sea Adventure Resort and Water Park All Inclusive

We had a 4-night stay at the resort. The staff there are friendly and talented, especially the water sports and pool side staff, who encouraged all of us to learn and do activities. The food is good. Evening shows are excellent -- performed by the hotel staff. Place is clean. Take a free sailing lesson -- a lot of fun. The only drawback is that we wish the beach can be cleaned up a bit more (lots of seaweed) so we can have more sandy beach to walk along.

I went with my 9yrs old son and we had a great time at Sea Adventure Resort and Water Park. My son loved the water park. The service is good, very friendly staff and they make you feel welcome. The beach has seaweed! I didnt tried to go in the water, but this was not a big deal for us as we enjoy more the pool. Also, the beds are really hard! Is like slepping on the floor, really dislike this. However, we try to ignore this and enjoy the other nice things the resorts offers (Michael Jackson show, Pirates of the Carribbean show, shopping shuttle etc)

This is the 1st kids’ hotel that actually lived up to its expectations. I took my 7 year old and had an amazing time. We have been to different Cancun area all-inclusive resorts for that last 5 years. This is the 1st I plan to come back to the same one. The location was great because of the Marina at the end of the beach where we caught tropical fish off the peer with a kids fishing pole and leftovers from breakfast. I don’t think adult fishing is allowed, and we brought the pole. It is not part of the resort. The waterpark is across the street but you use a large tunnel that connects the two resorts rather than crossing the street. We would walk there barefoot daily. They have a restaurant at the waterpark so you don’t have to come back for lunch or snacks. The locals that came to the water park looked pretty wealthy. I’m guessing it is pricy for a day pass. The food was fine, and the variety was the same as most of the resorts in the area. The shows were excellent for an off Broadway staff. They were professionally done with lots of action, acrobatics, pyrotechnics, good lighting and music. The staff kept things going during the day. They had a water-balloon fight, all sorts of beach activities, as well as extra activities at the waterpark. I plan to book again in 2012.

We just came back on 8/27/11. It was a great stay! My husband and son loved it! We have nothing to complain about! I was worried before we left because of the terrible reviews I read about this place but since experiecing it first hand I have to say that those people who gave bad reviews were really expecting to see a 5 star resort when in fact it's a 3 star! So you go with that mentality! Yes it's away from the hotel zone but that is why there is transportation public or taxi! Like I said I have nothing to complain about service was great, food was great as well as the entertainment!

I have never had such a bad experience as the one I just had with this hotel. I booked there because it was a "family" hotel and they would provide a Suite or two adjacent rooms, that did not happen. Gave me one room on one floor another on another then they offered the "Owner" Suite in order to charge me more. So it is the WORST hotel and service I´ve ever been.

This was not our first stay in Cancun but we chose to stay here based on the waterpark theme for our kids. This place is terrible. The people who have given good reviews it must have been there first time to Cancun. The water park is not in the hotel, it is across the street. The hotel is in [*] They let locals into the water park (it is not exclusively for guests). Half of the rooms with ocean front views look at boat docks. The food is below average and does not change much in variety. The water stops running in the middle of your shower (multiple days). The staff is not helpful they just say that there is nothing they can do. Our last two trips to Cancun were in the hotel zone. Both of the resorts we stayed at had water parks for the kids that were just as big as this place. The photos make it enticing but you will regret it. My last trip to Cancun cost $200 more for the week but was unbelievably better. This place is run down and the mosquitos are a major problem.

The only good thing about this vacation was the price. The waterpark wasn't in the same side of the hotel where we were staying, but walking distance, even dough in the informations of the hotel was not specified so. The rooms were OK at least were cleaned. The shower had no pressure and if you were taking the shower around 6-7pm there wasn't much of hot water either. In the room there was a ladder, the railings between the steps were so wide that a kid could fall off. The Hotel in per se was not kid friendly, no elevator, too many steps up and down to go to the main retsaurant and to the pool. Operating a stroller in this conditions was very difficult. The food was horrible, not much of variety and always the same things. The only good meal was breakfast. The A/C in the lobby and in the restaurants was not operating right. It was very hot!!!!! The hotel was too far from civilization the neighborhood was bit scarry, it was too far the hotel zone, 30 minutes away if not more by car. The pool was Ok even dough the water was not always clean.

We literally just got back from vacation today. My family and I booked this expecting something completely different. It is not close to any of the Cancun style resorts, 10-15 minutes from all of them by taxi. There was not even a bus that went by the hotel to get to the fun part of Cancun. We get into the lobby and it is so hot we could barely stand it while mesquitos are getting I and the kids, waiting in a long line to check in. The staff at the front desk was very rude and unhelpful. We get up to our room that was literally a 10 minute walk with our bags and kids and it is sweltering hot in the room. The room is not nice what so ever. We had not eatin all day and decided to grab a fast bite from the poolside buffet. It was almost unediable. I refused to eat it after just a few bites. The pool in front of the beach was so overcrowded it looked uncomfortable. The beach area is the tiniest I have ever seen in Cancun and was littered by black debris. The water is nothing like the end of Cancun's water, bright blue and gorgeous.Needless to say after taking the kids to the water park for 2 hours, we got our things and booked another hotel IN TOWN that we knew was nicer and more accomidating. The water park was nice for the short time we spent there but cannot imagine spending everyday there. The staff was really helpful and nice over in that area of the resort. We spent close to $700 extra to NOT stay at this rat hole hotel. I would never let anyone I know book this hotel.

Everyone was very friendly, however had to make multiple requests at the front desk to have things fixed in the room and nothing was ever done.

Wonderful Place! Bad things first, It is a little farther out, not being in the hotel zone, but past it. They will provide transport there though. They are doing remodeling right now, so some areas are a little noisy by day, but quite at night. Now the good stuff; The staff was perfect! Very friendly and helpful. Food was good, have had better, but overall well done. Several resturaunts with different cusine to fit everyone, even special entries for the kids. Several bars where even the kids had a blast getting non-alcoholic drinks. Plenty of activities all day for the kids and adults. Great entertainment staff also!
