Great for family NOT for couples

This hotel is for families. The rooms were nice, great A/C in my room, and clean. The staff was pretty good relative to my other experiences in Cancun hotels. The food was great. The nice restuant was great, but the A/C was broke! The pool was crowded with kids, but overall it was clean and fun. Bar service was great. Ocean and beach were very nice.

Fabulous food

The hotel has 6 restaurants in which we dined. There was no need to make reservations. The restaurants offered a variety of exotic foods:- Italian, French , Mexican , Mediterranean and other dishes. My hubby and I, enjoyed the food and that was the most memorable part of the vacation. The Beach is not as great, and has stones but we still swam in the ocean although carefully. Overall it was good value for money!

Week for the 2 of us

This was our 1st time to Cancun. We had an Ocean view room. The room was nice and clean. The walls a little thin we could hear everything so I am sure they could hear us. The one elevator was down so we took the stairs at times. The food was about what I expected. The staff was very helpful we had good service at all times. They tell you that gratuity is included but we tipped all our servers and bartenders. They had a lot of activities around the pools everyday and at night they had night club deals. The hotel is at the end of the strip so you do have to ride the bus to get downtown for most of the things we did but the runs 24 hours a day and less than a dollar a person.

Most everything we did was downtown. Our hotel was at the end of the strip so we had to catch a bus everytime we wanted to go out. THe busses do run 24 hours a day and about 5 minutes a part so you don't have to wait long. Plus they are a lot cheaper than a taxi.

HOTEL OK

THIS WAS THE 2ND TIME I STAYED AT THE Royal Solaris Cancun All Inclusive. I was not very happy that I had to pay extra for a King Bed since the last time we stayed there a year ago we paid nothing extra. The food was ok. the Bar staff was not as friendly as that last time we stayed. The rooms are very old and out dated. The room was an Ocean View but you could only see a little bit of the ocean. There are so many hotels in Cancun i will not stay at this hotel again

Great place to go for couples, singles & families

I went to year ago with my (now) husband and we loved it then and went back this time with 2 other couples and had a great time again. the food option are great, you dont need to make reservations there was never a wait to eat, we would normally go at 7:30 not sure if early times there was a wait. the pool area is great, they have an entertainment staff that has games & music by the pool daily. the lobby bar is great to chill for the night or before going out to the bars. they gave a luxury bus nightly that takes you to a different bar each night & is $40-50 p.p which includes admission & all u can drink for the night. so its definately worth it..there were a mix of people here singles, couples and families and everyone had a good time. i will definitaly be going back to this hotel in the next few years.

Nothing Special

We felt the Royal Solaris was just average in about every aspect. There was some issues upon checking in that really put the stay off to a bad start. Half the elevators were not working so you had to wait to find one with room. The dining options were ok. The Marco Polo dining room was nice. The other options were all once again just average. The entertainment staff did a good job of creating activities at the pool. However you had to leave the hotel area to participate in things such as paddle boats and kiyaking.

Great Experience

This was my first visit to Cancun. Staying at the Royal Solaris was a great experience. The restaurants provided wonderful food and nice service from their waiters. No complaints except at times only one elevator was working. The pools and beach was very nice. I would stay there again.

Great Family Value!!

As a family, my husband and I, our three 'children' (20, 17 & 15) and our son's girlfriend we thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Royal Solaris Cancun. The rooms were standard, but just to sleep and have a shower in they were fine. The food was excellent with lots of choice, you could eat as simple or as fancy as you wanted. The staff were helpful and Samuel who cleaned our room was very thorough. Our only niggle was the elevator, there were two working when we got there but for most of the week only one worked. The hotel is working to get that problem fixed as they are installing new elevators, but we certainly got a work out walking up seven flights of stairs. The only other thing was the time share guys who were a little over powering, but if you said no enough they left you alone. The gym was good, the beach was lovely and we found a secluded adults only area just for us - perfect!! We took a trip to the Flea Market and went parasailing, but the main purpose was to relax and we did that sitting in the sunshine, reading and drinking margaritas!! For an all inclusive vacation, this is well worth the money!!
