Nice Hote

I was very satisfied overall from our stay. The only recommendation I have is that the Hotel allow more reservations for the resteraunts. They only give a small amount of reservations out. We were not allowed to sample all the resteraunts on the property.

Great all around resort for couples

RPLA was a wonderful all around experience. The only negative was that if you wanted to be in the sun, there was limited sunny space and for a limited amount of time. Other than that. everything else was perfect!!

Nice Hotel

The RIU Palace was very nice hotel in appearance. It located right on the top of the strip, near where most of the actions are located (market, clubbing, dinning, shopping). The room was comfortable, the bed was a harder than what I used to. The bathroom was spacious. Although, the showering bathtub need to be a little larger and need lighting. The mini bar is stocked up with local liquors, beers, soft drink, and water. All you can drink!! There are 4 indoor restaurants and one outdoor. One of the indoor open most of the day for dinning (breakfast, lunch, and dinner). The other three specialty restaurants (Japanese, Brazilian, Seafood )only serve dinner with reservation. The foods served here is better than average and good in quality. It can use more variety, rather than mainly Mexican style dishes. The lounge and intertaiment area a spacious, as so the amount of drinks they offer. All you can drink!!! There are two pools here. The large one located right between the two wings of the building, the viewing is great, but building tend to block off the sun after 4 pm. The beach is kind of small but it is very clean and nice. With the RIU Palace wrist band you can eat and use the facility over its next door sister RIU Cancun. Any the hotel was very nice, and I dont' mind going back again.

Highly Recommended

This is a beautiful resort, with great rooms and wonderful food and beverages. The all-inclusive program is terrific, it is so nice not to worry about how much each meal is costing, etc. The staff is really nice, and the front desk staff were extremely helpful with any questions or needs. I hated to leave...

Great Place to Relax!

This hotel far exceeded expectations....beautiful lobby, with a view of an infinity pool and the ocean beyond. Our room was so well appointed...marble flooring and bath, nice sitting area and balcony overlooking the water. Great storage space.wonderful The dining was FABULOUS.........a lavish buffet that we enjoyed sometimes three times a day, and five other alternative restaurants, all lovely. The pool areas were beautiful....comfy lounges and wonderful cocktail service. There was nightly entertainment....a band with singer, and , on most nights, a small floorshow. The neighborhood was safe for a nightly walk, and had some shopping opportunities nearby. Public transportation was available within a block of the hotel.

There is a large mall across the street and to the left of the hotel, and, a little farther down that street, a center for Mexican pottery and crafts that was fun to wander through.

great dinner selections

Riu Palace Las Americas offers four restaurants to serve pleasurable dinners. They have quite a variety as well, Japanese, Spanish, Brazilian and Gourmet. Make sure you make reservations as soon as you arrive (between 12-5pm). If you are checking in late, just look for the dining coordinator of the hotel and make the reservations with her directly. She is usually present during the dinner buffet.
