Great Service

The weather wasnt soo hot but other than that the resort was great... staff was friendly and very attentive. There could have been more nighttime activites such as entertainment/music at night... pool parties at night.

Wonderful Anniversary Trip

Service was excellent. Enjoyed the reservation-only restaurants, but tired of the buffett. Breakfasts were excellent. Poolside drink service was great. Rooms were clean and kept clean through out the visit.

Cancun getaway

Checked into the hotel room to find that the 'Garden' view that we had booked was not the case to be. Instead we got a room that overlooked the adjacent hotel's roof. The staff, although very helpful in all other aspects, was not really helpful in this case. Noticed water on the floor after checking into the room. Housekeeping came and cleaned it up as soon as we called the front desk. Restaurant staff was friendly and hard working. Food and drinks were available at all times. Pool closes at 7 p.m, a little too early, specially for those who would like to avoid the afternoon sun. Buffet food was good. It is a good idea to have reservations to the formal restaurants done in advance (even before you take the trip). Tours sold in the hotel are expensive. Step out and you have much cheaper options. It is better to stay put and/or walk around in the hotel itself. Step out and you will be stopped by almost all the shop keepers or staff at the local restaurants. Overall, a good trip.

Simply the Best

We only go to the Riu Palace Las Americas when traveling to Cancun. We've tried others, but no other hotel campares to the excellent staff and management at the Riu Palace. Will be back in August!

great experience on first all inclusive

My wife and i had a great time. First week of June. Weather was great. Service was great. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Beautiful beach and pool area. The shows were great also. Didn't get to try too much of the resaurants because we both got sick on our third day and couldn't handle much to eat. Don't know if we got sick from being in touch with the unfiltered water? Maybe the salads and fruits are washed in it? Not really sure. Other than getting sick, we had a great time and would definitely go again.

Great Cancun Getaway

Loved the hotel. Beautiful hotel lobby, lounge areas, restaurants, etc. The staff and service were wonderful. There was a mildew'ish odor in the hallway, but I don't think that can be helped in this type of humid environment. Rooms didn't have this problem, as the floors were tiled. I would highly recommend this hotel and would plan to stay here again. Make sure to sign up for the catamaran cruise to the Isla Mujeres. That was a blast and well worth the money.

Excellant Location and service

This hotel is in a great location close to shopping and nightlife. Good choice of food and entertainment and axcess to the other Riu hotels a plus. The room was always clean and well stocked with liquior and water. The staff was friendly and their opinions about where to shop and go out at night helped alot. We would definately stay here again.

Nightlife tip: Short walk from hotel

Very close for people that want to enjoy the night life. One caution the bars are usually all inclusive with a wrist band, but you can ask to check it out first before you pay to go in(that way you wont be stuck at a place you dont like)

Rui Palace Las Americas

This was my 2nd trip to a Rui property with the Rui Cancun being the 1st a little over a month ago. So my experiences are recent. The Palace is very luxurious and the staff are friendly and cordial. What I didn't like about the staff is their questioning of me for being by myself. Also the air conditioning was erratic at times. The food was good but not great. There may be better resorts available in Cancun
