Great Resort - Great Value
I traveled with a friend and we really enjoyed the reosrt. The food was good for an all-inclusive resort and offered many options. We really loved the breakfast buffet - ask for pineapple orange juice. Spent each day around the pool and had a great time.

The good, the bad and the horrible
Don't know where to begin and how to share the experience at the hotel. I would like to share this experience with other people trying to book a trip with [...] and this hotel. The front desk staff was RUDE. The room that we booked was sea view. When we arrived the room was not ready. It took them 2 hours to prepare the room. After we checked in and went to see the room, it was not what we booked. We went to the front desk to let them know that we want to change the room because it is not what we booked, the hotel representative [...]said ''of course you are not going to get what you see in the picture.. What did u think? After arguing for a very long time we were able to get what we wanted. I left my $250 sun glasses on the table in the main lobby for two minutes never saw them again. I went and reported the scenario to the main lobby they started laughing at the situation. Also we reserved the shuttle through GREENLINE, WORST SERVICE. When we arrived in MEXICO it took us 1 hour to find where they were, when we left MEXICO they showed up 2 hours late. Also when we came back we called cheap tickets and explained the situation, [...]the representative didn't really care. She used her sarcasm throughout the whole conversation. Please be CAREFUL when you go to this hotel and when you book your trip through this service. My husband and I have traveled a lot throughout Europe, Asia, Africa but never experienced this kind of service. The sad part is that this was our wedding anniversary and MEXICO will not see us again.

Riu Palace Vacation
the following things did not work in the room: - air conditioner - fan in the bathroom - toilet kept running we reported this to the front desk and they said that there was nothing they could do about it! Also, the hotel advertises that they are only 4 miles from the airport - that is incorrect - it took almost a half hour to get to the hotel from the airport.

Riu Palaca
The Riu Palace was the first ever all inclusive resort I have ever stayed at. At the end of it, I felt that I received more than I paid for. Just to mention, the attention and overall presentation of the hotel was outstanding. I made it a mission to enjoy all the restaurants on site and was delighted by the food and service. My wife and I were taken car of to the fullest.

AMAZING!!! Would reccommend to ANYONE!
Amazing. That pretty much sums it up in 1 word! The food at the buffet was delicious and the food at the Japanese restaurant was very good as well! The only thing I didnt like was taht you have to make the reservations 2 days in advance for the restaurants so you probably can only eat at them 2-3 times durring your trip depending on how long your stay will be. This resort is 100% all inclusive. The room service (snacks and breakfast) is all inclusive and they always make sure you have everything you need! The rooms were immaculate! 100% marble floors and the bathrooms are a great size. The bed and pillows were a little FIRM for my taste but after 5 tequila shots at the swim up bar, who notices that stuff anymore right!? The only other complaint I have is that the safe in the room IS NOT LARGE ENOUGH TO FIT A LAPTOP! NOT EVEN AN iPad! I had to hide my laptop everytime we would be gone for the day. You can always put the do not disturb sign on the door too if you will be away. Honestly, I would suggest this resort to anyone. It is a five star resort and it isnt lacking a thing!!!! The beach is great, it's large and not rocky at all. It's pretty shallow for a while so you can go pretty far out without sinking. I would definatly reccommend to couples and families, Singles may feel a little out of place here unless you are mature singles. Everyone was married or in some type of relationship. I didnt not see many singles at all.

Shopping tip:
Short walk from hotel
DO NOT SHOP FOR ANY SOUVENIERS AT THE SHOP DIRECTLY ACROSS THE STREET. THEY ARE WAYYYY TOO PRICEY! Go to the large YELLOW discount shop up the street (back towards the airport, about a 5 min walk from the hotel) they have A HUGE selection and the prices are much more resonable. I spent 40 USD on 2 shot glasses and a magnent at the shop across the street...at the yellow warehouse, 30 dollars for 4 shot glasses, a sombrero, 2 magnents and two of the painted clay skull souveniers. You do the math!

Memorial Day Vacation
I was taking different tours, I think the service at the hotel is still very good, burt I think the concierge at the front desk is a little poor for example they don't haver internet service to check if a fly is on time or not. But in general I think the service is pretty good
