Modern, all-inclusive Cancun resort with disco and kids playground
The Riu Cancun is situated on the postcard-worthy, white sand beaches of the transparent, turquoise Caribbean Sea. The all-inclusive Yucatan peninsula resort caters to families and honeymooners with a disco, 24-hour sports bar, mini-club and playground for kids. There's also a spa, salon and sports and activities program for children and adults. Outdoor relaxation options include a terrace solarium shaded by umbrellas, a stretch of white sand beach and four pools -- one catering specifically to tots. A fitness center, sauna and Jacuzzi are added amenities.

Great Place
We have stayed at RIU hotels many, many, times. We've never been disppointed. This was our first stay at the RIU Cancun. We are planning our second for September. It is located a short walk from the nightclubs, a short walk from my favorite diving outfit, Nautilus, and across the street from a mall. I guess that covers the location. Our flight to Cancun was a mess. We arrived late at night and were greeted like long lost family members. Within minutes we had drinks and were checked in. It was a long day so we wound down and slept. I can't say enough good about the hotel. The staff always greets you. The place seems to be cleaned 24 hours a day. We rarely went anywhere without seeing someone cleaning. There were times when we really couldn't understand what was being cleaned, invisible dirt perhaps, but they were cleaning nonetheless. The pool was active, but not too active. The drinks were good. Did I mention the staff? Just last night my wife mentioned the service we got from Rafa at the outdoor restaurant. He remembered our drinks from the night before. We had help when we needed it and were left alone when we wanted. The buffet food was buffet food. I wouldn't call it fine dining, but there was nothing wrong with it either. The only thing I will say about the reservations restaurants is nice try. I suggest that anyone staying here ask for a foam mattress. The beds area little hard without one. Will we go there again. Yes! We'll be there in September. We go to Cancun as often as possible.

Take the bus to Mercado 28. Remember, whatever price they offer is not final. Have some fun bargaining. Also, if you cross the street above the mall there are three restaurants grouped together. They are more or less real Mexican. the fod is good and the drinks are cheap.

Fun at Paradise
The Riu Cancun All Inclusive was very comfortable, the room was very large and spacious. The hotel location was awesome! It was really close the the Flea Market and not very far from downtown. We really enjoyed our stay and will be back soon!

Riu Cancun - Worth the money
The hotel and staff were extremely nice and I'd recommend this location to anyone who wants a relaxing atmosphere! There are things to do, however, if you get restless...

LOTS of entertainment close by! Don't take any transportation! Coco Bongo's was very fun and worth the cover! Just tip the tender and they'll keep 'em coming all night!

Perfect in more ways than one
As a spring breaker, I must say I loved the hotel. Three pools - all for different crowds (quiet/loud/playful), great food variety at the buffet plus 2 restaurants - you HAVE to go to the Brazilian one! Room was clean, nice/big bathroom, awesome ocean view! Just loved it! Quick five minute walk from all the clubs on the strip, shopping, restaurants...pretty much everything...I suggest you get a party hopper package from the hotel, but go across the street to book your day trips (isla mujeres, chichen-itsa). Had a great time with my 2 girlfriends - didn't want to leave! Def going back for the clubs we didn't get to go to... Must tell you to go to Coco Bongo - amazing!!!

Wonderful Vacation
We recently stayed at the RIU Cancun and it was wonderful. The property is just the right size. The food was excellent! There was something different to choose from everyday. The only complaint I had was...the bed is TOO HARD ! Other than wait....we can't wait to go back.

AMAZING!!
Our stay at the Riu Cancun was absolutely wonderful. The staff there could not have been better. Our room was very clean and comfortable, with beautiful views of the ocean. The food was very good, with lots of choices. I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone, and can't wait to go there again!

Paradise!!!
This was one of the best trips me and my husband made, and trust me we travel a lot!!! The hotel is perfect, the place is PARADISE, you don't need to leave the hotel for nothing, and they have everything, great food (04 restaurants), great place and great attractions!! I would recommend this hotel for everyone, couples, family, business.. It?s the best place ever. I want to go back their at least once a year.
