Modern, all-inclusive Cancun resort with disco and kids playground
The Riu Cancun is situated on the postcard-worthy, white sand beaches of the transparent, turquoise Caribbean Sea. The all-inclusive Yucatan peninsula resort caters to families and honeymooners with a disco, 24-hour sports bar, mini-club and playground for kids. There's also a spa, salon and sports and activities program for children and adults. Outdoor relaxation options include a terrace solarium shaded by umbrellas, a stretch of white sand beach and four pools -- one catering specifically to tots. A fitness center, sauna and Jacuzzi are added amenities.

Great All Inclusive Hotel! Had a great time!
Best food at an all inclusive we have ever had and we have been to several. Great location with lots of beach. All rooms are Ocean front with is nice. Staff was very nice. Bartenders were great as well. Liquor was not close to top shelf for most varieties. I would say the hotel is a realistic 3 to 3 1/2 stars, not the 4 they give themselves which will usually lead to disappointment. Overall left a great impression on all 6 of our group. Would go again.

Wisco Ashley again
The hotel was great, minus the small beach. This was the second time I have stayed there in one year so the food got a little old after the 5th day. But the Riu really caters to everyone. I would stay there again!

Good holiday
Beautiful hotel, good food. Wondful experience. Only thing wrong was thenpools were cold. Thet should hear at leas one pool. Rooms smelled smokey or musty. Poor Internet connection.

Good Value
There was nothing super fancy or exciting about the hotel, but it is a good value for the money if you want all inclusive. The food was good, room was clean and there is a decent beach and nice pool. That's all we needed!

The markets nearby have better deals if you are willing to bargain, but they will hound you constantly, so if you don't like being intimidated to buy, try one of the actual stores and pay a dollar or two more.

Vacation with family
We thoroughly enjoyed our time at the Riu Cancun! The food was excellent, the beach was nice, the rooms were clean, friendly staff, and there was a huge variety of drinks! Shopping is close by and the the dolphin activity at Dreams was great family fun! Our daughters (age 19 and 23) enjoyed the beach when we went to the Chichen Itza. David Perez took care of the dolphin, sunset cruise and Chichen Itza reservations. The only thing I would say negative is that the beds are kind of hard. New Year's Eve was fantastic with decorations and food! We would love to go again sometime!!!

Well located Hotel
Expected more from a 5 star hotel Rooms were comfortable. Entertainment could have been better. Friendly staff. There should have been more variety in the food section. Wi Fi was weak.

Wonderful time in Cancun!
I took my daughter to the Riu Cancun for her 18th birthday and we had a wonderful time. The food was good - especially breakfast. The pools were beautiful and sparkling - we loved hanging out at the edge of the infinity pool! The staff was great. When we returned from a little morning shopping the morning of my daughters birthday, the wonderful staff had decorated our room door and room with balloons and signs and on the bed sat a birthday cake made out of towels with fresh flowers and candy on it! It really made her feel special and important. I am a a loyal customer of Riu and will continue to stay at their hotels whenever I travel.

best atmosphere
verry good hotel and close to the party of cancun. Animation is great. Good mix of young people and not to much children. Food and service are good for the prize.
