Oceanfront all-inclusive Cancun resort between a lagoon and the sea

The RIU Caribe is situated on a tranquil beach along the Caribbean Sea. The nine-story, all-inclusive resort has three a la carte restaurants and a buffet dining option during breakfast, lunch and dinner. The property houses a spa, two tennis courts, a gym, steam bath and Jacuzzi. Non-motorized waters sports, such as kayaking and windsurfing, are also offered. Children benefit from a club and playground. Organized daytime activities and live music and theme shows at night further lend a festive vibe. Avid golfers can visit a course nearby (fees apply).

Each of the 506 guest rooms at RIU Caribe have a king or two double beds and oversized marble bathrooms, plus individual climate control, satellite TV, a stocked mini bar and liquor dispenser, and in-room safe. Rooms have either private ocean view or oceanside balcony or terrace.

Guests of the beachfront RIU Caribe enjoy all-inclusive amenities at three a la carte restaurants as well as buffet meals (some themed) and alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages at four bars. A fitness center with sauna, numerous non-motorized water sports, tennis courts and daily poolside activities are among the additional lures. In the evenings, guests can also take in live music and entertainment or simply relax on their own private terraces, cocktail in hand.

Very clean hotel

This is the 2nd time I have stayed at the Riu Caribe, and 2nd time upgrading to Junior suite. The checkin was FAST and very customer oriented. I arrived to find my room was on the end, 6 floors up, with a PERFECT view of the ocean, The room was clean and spotless! My only issue with the hotel is the food choices. Again, very mediocre to say the least (rode a van back to airport with a couple who stayed at Riu Cancun and they said EXACTLY the same thing) The service at the buffets is excellent, but the quality of food was very average. Its too bad that they dont have an outdoor grill going for hamburgers/hot dogs, ect, during the day. That would be a big hit! This hotel is very nice and very clean, but for 195 a night (upgrading) its overpriced. I would stay again, but they need to upgrade the food!!!!

Very good vacation

That was our first time in Cancun and def not the last since we loved it so much. RIU Caribe satisfied us in every aspect. The pool was big and gorgeous. Beach was awsome and clean. Comparing to RIU Palace and RIU Cancun which are located 3 miles away from RIU Caribe, obviously RIU Caribe has much more greens (palms and grass) on the territory which we liked the most. Also you can find iguanas few steps away from the beach closer to rocky area. The last thing to mention is the food. Buffet had all kinds of different food with the great taste. We will def go back to the same hotel again.

Something for everyone

We stayed during the Christmas break. Great resort for kids, calm waters, plenty of water sports and beach/pool games to keep kids busy all day. Nightly shows were very entertaining.

Very good family hotel

Very good Hotel

Nice hotel for people who wants relax. Not so greaty for single people who wants to know other young people. Very good food .

Really A Great Place

We have only stayed at a few places in Cancun .. but have no reason to leave the Riu Caribe. I don't think there could be a better staff anywhere. The food is good - not gourmet all the time - but good and there's a wide selection on the buffet. The accomodations are getting better with the improvements. The staff is what keeps us coming back.

Use Paradise Transfers for your transportation to and from the airport. They have great prices, are always prompt & have courteous, bi-lingual and friendly drivers. Paradise Transfers also offer excursions for very good prices.

Great Value that contributed to an amazing trip!

RIU Caribe is a great spot for those looking to come to Cancun and find a spot to both relax and party. Because of its value, our group was able to spend our money enjoying the other things that Cancun has to offer. The fact that the hotel is all-inclusive and has everything you need, including a spectacular beach front pool, is a complete bonus. We'll be back for sure.
