Golf course was great. Rooms at the villias include your own golf cart for getting around the resort. If you don't require an ... ocean view, that is the way to go. Also the rooms at the villias were much larger and nicer than oceanside. Super freindly staff. Don't bother with the "Welcome package" interview, its a condo tour/sale, unless you like that type of thing.

Went to the resort for a friend's wedding. Because of this we did not get to take advantage of the many things offered with ... our package. Spa facility was amazing, resturant's were delecious, and the wedding ceremony was unforgettable!!! I would recommend this resort to anyone... I may even go back again someday even though I do not like to travel to the same place twice :)

The staff is super friendly, attentive, and mostly bilingual for those who do not speak Spanish. Many rooms are in direct ... view of the Caribbean. Ask for that luxury! The all inclusive food and drinks ranged from so-so, good, to superb. There were Italian, Asian, and other international choices, but for us the Mexican cuisine was the best. It was first rate, the real deal. The two pools are beautiful. One swims and relaxes while enjoying gorgeous views of the sea. Moon Palace is within easy range of extraordinary side trips like zip lining, Xcaret Park, and Mayan ruins. We were a group of eight grade school educators, and it was a fun packed learning experience even for the Spanish speakers. Do NOT miss the night show at Xcaret! It was akin to Mexican "River Dance" or "Lord of the Dance", a stunning and brilliant tour de force worth every centavo! Guess who came first? The Mayans or Cirque du Soleil? We teachers were proud, sad, inspired, "conquered". Art IS the best way to discover who we have been, who we are becoming, where we should go! Bravo, bravo, bravo!

Room service is prompt! When dining out, there are several choices including in the main residential building (Nizuc). However, the hotel is huge, the grounds vast. Yes, the shuttles to the different restaurants and shows elsewhere in the complex, or to the golf course, are convenient. Nonetheless, do schedule an extra fifteen to thirty minutes in order to ensure arriving on time for your appointment at the amazing spa!

We had a great stay at the Moon Palace Hotel. We stayed in the Nizuc section which is the center section of three. The sit ... down Mexican Resturant(Nizuc) was great! The food was very good and the service was exceptional! The breakfast buffet at the Sunrise section was better than the others. But all in all the food was good.We did not expierence the time share horror stories that I have read about. Just our first day and then once when I went to make arrangements for outside entertainment. The guest service staff were very nice with the exception of a snotty American girl. The Zip Line was great and is included in our hotel package. The company told you about other activities also available but no pressure to buy anything. We will be going back to the Moon Palace!!!!

outstanding service. great staff. Came for a family wedding and it was beautiful....like a fairly tale! Only complaint was ... spa too crowded. felt like cattle being herded in and out. I was never told you had a whirlpool and steam. I sat to have tea and was asked three times if I knew where the locker room was to change!

swim with the dolphins at the Aquarium in the La Isla shopping Mall. It is not the trip that is included in some pkgs but is well worth it. Get the full deal (black bracelet) at the Aquarium. You will not be disappointed. We were six to 8 people with 2 dolphins. Included trip is about 16 people and 1 dolphin

Be treated like a Queen

Lawzy Dena Nov 19, 2009

Would recommend to a friend!

If you want to be treated like a queen this is the place. It is their pleasure to serve you. This place is so clean you could ... eat in the restroom if you liked. Even the trash cans are cleaned daily. I mean scrubbed all over.I wish the US would adopt this cleaning practice. I felt more secure there then I do here in US cities. The food is fabulous and all you can eat. Everything taste real. There is no artificial flavoring. The butter and penut butter delicious. Try as many resturants as you can they are all differant. Awesome to be surrounded by happiest all the time. Can't wait to return. It was hard to return to reality. We did zip lining with two out of four of us scared of heights. A great accomplishment and the staff made you feel relaxed and safe.

Shopping tip, Short Walk

The resort provides a bus to its sister resorts in Cancun. Then you have approximately two blocks two walk to the mall. We took a cab to and from because the bus was already full. The price is okay but be prepared for the ride of your life. Apparently there is an area that has no speed limit.

Excellent honeymoon trip

Mr. Paul Nov 17, 2009

Would recommend to a friend!

This was the second all inclusive trip that I have been on. Unlike my previous trip, the staff was extremely friendly and ... did not expect a tip. If you did, they were very thankful, but they were also thankful without a tip too. The location is wonderful. Only about 15 minutes from the airport, 10 minutes from zip line, and 20 minutes from snorkeling. I would highly recommend the hassle free round trip ahead of time. Our transportation picked us up from the airport as promised and were right on time for pick up to drop us back off at the airport.

Everything at the hotel was great; service and food. The only problem was it rained for 5 days straight (Hurricane Ida) ... which was beyond anyone's control but I would not recommend going in the beginning of November, possibly still rainy season.

Moon Palace is an above average resort with friendly, accomodating staff! The restauarants were all very good. The pools ... immaculate and so inviting. The Golf Suite was spacious and immaculate! We enjoyed wonderful spa treatments and did many affordable activities. I would recommend parasailing and aqua-twister but don't waste your time or money on the sea-explorer. The mosquitos were bad but just bring plenty of good bug spray! We will definitely vacation here again!!

Unforgettable!!!

We were there on our honeymoon and the only thing that we needed was more time. We took advantage of the free tours they ... offered but didnt sign up on time so we only did the Chichen-Itza, Wet'N'Wild,Xcaret, and the Zip line. Xcaret wasnt free but it's worth the $$. We REALLY would have loved to visit the other places they offered(Tulum, Coba,& Isla De Mujeres) but like I said, it was too late to sign up. The only thing bad about this is they try to get you to become a "member" and want to take up half of your day with a tour of the whole hotel and get you to join. If you're not interested then make it a point that you arent, or else you'll get a call at 8:00am asking about participating in the tour.

5 Star Hotel for a 4 Star Price!

Chris Nov 6, 2009

Would recommend to a friend!

Upon checking into the hotel we were treated with a lot of attention. We were asked if we were here on honeymoon or a special ... occasion and when I said my girlfriends birthday, they sent a bottle of champagne and cake to the room that night! The waiters, waitresses and bartenders were on their game! If you ordered room service, you can bet your food would be there in less than 20 mins. The pools and grounds were beautiful, very large and spacious. Almost too big at the time we went because capacity was at about 20% and there wasnt many people around you, which i guess has its good and bad things. They said their busy months are nov-feb. Also, you couldnt swim in the ocean because its very rocky. But the pools are amazing. Id suggest staying in the Sunrise section of the resort as it is newer and more "happening" than the nizuc section of the resort. The restaurants are good, there are many of them, and you will enjoy the food, some are al la carte and some are buffet style. The oriental in the sunrise section the brazilian in the nizuc section and the italian in the golf section are among the best. Be sure to take advantage of all the free tours that your package allows you, but you must book them a day in adavance. We did the zip lineing, the tulum ruins tour, and we spent the day at Wet and Wild, which is owned by Moon Palace and swamn with the dolphins! That was fun. We also spent an hour in the beautiful Spa, which I suggest. Our Package included a $150 credit for the spa and Golf as well. I didnt golf, but if you do, the golf course is amazing. All in all, I'd go back again but would stay at Sunrise section instead. If you bring some tip money, you def. get a lot more attention, but they arent pressing you for tips. If you are looking for a nice relaxing vacation, this is your place. If you want to be more adventurous, go on some excursions and have a great time!

Cancun 2009

Moon Palace Fan Oct 27, 2009

Would recommend to a friend!

We had an amazing time at the Moon Palace Resort. The staff was great. They were very attentive and always greeted you with ... a smile. The food was good and room service was lightning fast. I enjoyed the breakfast buffet the most, especially the french toast. The grounds were beautiful and the beach goes on and on for miles. The pools were amazing. The resort had a secluded feeling, there weren't any other hotels for miles. The ONLY thing I did not like about the loacation was the beach. I LOVE swimming in the ocean when there are big waves. The beach is located behind the reef so the waves don't break on the shore. Also there was a bunch of seaweed that gets washed up. My all-inclusive package allowed me to visit any of the other Palace resorts in Cancun, Cozumel or Isla Mujeres so a 15 minute shuttle ride took me to another location where I could body surf all day long.

Nightlife tip, In Hotel

We were a group of young couples and were a little disappointed with the nightlife.... we made our own fun but discussed going into to town a few times but worried about being separated.

--Happy traveler, Grand Rapids, MI Dec 11, 2009

Dining tip, In Hotel

Room service is prompt! When dining out, there are several choices including in the main residential building (Nizuc). However, the hotel is huge, the grounds vast. Yes, the shuttles to the different restaurants and shows elsewhere in the complex, or to the golf course, are convenient. Nonetheless, do schedule an extra fifteen to thirty minutes in order to ensure arriving on time for your appointment at the amazing spa!

Shopping tip

If you want to go shopping in the hotel zone, pick a time and take a taxi for just a few hours. Don't waste alot of time being gone from the resort, there's many activities to do at the Moon.
