Marriott CasaMagna Resort Cancun

Before the trip, we did expected the hotel to be nice, but it blew us away when we actually got there. The security at the gate greeted us and let us in after confirming our reservation, then the bell man took our bags from the car and we proceeded to check in. We were upgraded to a oceanview room even we were booked in a garden view, nice! The corridors leading to the rooms are open air, and overlook a garden, which is very serene feeling. The room we had was very nice, enough for 2 adults, and as promised, overlooking the very blue and gorgeous ocean. Bathroom was of adequate size with just enough counter space, separate toilet area, nice touch. The balcony was big, with 2 chairs. We used the swim up bar, the drinks were ok, US pricing. No kids running around and plenty of chairs. Service by the beach was prompt too. The hotel happened to sit on a very nice stretch of beach, no drop or whatsoever. Water was a little rough, yellow flag though. We didn't dine in any restaurants on site, but the front desk did offer to suggest dining options. We only stayed 1 night, but will definitely go back for more, for what we paid, we felt it was a bargain. Very very nice hotel, will recommend for friends.

Beautiful beach front hotel. Everything you would want for the water activity is right there for you. Also, rental car available if you desire non-water activities such as: zip line, exploration of the ancient ruin and etc. One tip: find a local bank and exchange $$$ because the hotel exchange rate is much higher.

very nice/friendly/quiet hotel.right in the middle of hotel row. easy access to everywhere.breakfast buffet worth the extra couple $.clean pool/nice beach/helpful staff.except(see below)only issue while ckin- hotel clerk spent 15 mins. typing in computer-went and talked to manager ? [...]was told room was not ready-plz come back in 1 hour. other people ckin in and getting rooms. went back 1 hour later and was still told room not ready. asked for manager and was told [...] we would have to wait.--arrived at 3pm--did not get in a room till 5pm-room was nice-not a good view of anything besides other hotel wall---was just happy to get a room and start vacation.[...]just take note---will maybe have to wait and rooms view may not be great.

Beautiful architecture to the building...very grand. Rooms were terrific...staff very helpful..and the free breakfast buffet was spectacular! It was also a great value!

The staff was excellent and always there to help. We were there for dental appointments and the location was perfect. We especially enjoyed the pool and breakfasts. All was first class.

My friends and I caught up with some well needed R&R. We sat at the beach everyday and more or less ate breakfast, lunch, and dinner at the hotel. We took advantage of the pool, the gym, and our gorgeous ocean view room with a balcony.The only thing missing was good food. The breakfast was potentially the only good meal of the day. Food quality and taste was poor at Champions, the Thai restaurant, and the bar located poolside. Also, as a consumer I like to know where my food comes from..is it local, is it pumped full of hormones, is the meat coming from factory farms, etc. More information for food items on the menu is becoming a necessity. One other thing, the concierge recommends restaurants (if asked of them) to places where they receive kick backs. Completely inappropriate and a bit shocking staying at such a nice hotel. The trip was overall great. I would book again through [...]as the process was painless and stress free!!

This was my third stay here and I will keep coming back. Great Pool and Beach Chair availability. Huge Hot tub and a smiling/service oriented staff. Pool/Ocean view rooms are great. Great place to relax. Nice small workout facility.

We travel to Cancun Quite Often,,We always have our favorite resorts, The Marriott CasaMagna is right at the top. There is no complaint,From check-in to the food,,,All Great, Nobody bothered us with time shares which we really enjoyed,,,Excellent location, Great Beach ,,Great Service....If there was anything negative, I would be the first to tell you!!!!!

My friend and I moved to Marriot from Le Meridian just because we wanted to try different hotels. The main lobby looks magnificant and the staff are very hospitable. However, they allocated us a room with only one king size bed(we are not boyfriend and girlfriend).I tried to change to other rooms with two queen beds, but they claimed they didn't have that anymore. As a result, my friend slept on the sofa that night. The hotel guaranteed to change the room for us the next morning, but by the time we got back from our tour, they just gave us a room with king bed again!!! We were upset and argued with them. In this way, we moved to queen bed room, but it was a garden-view room located on the first floor. Except for this unhappiness with the room thing, everything was wonderful at Marriot.
