ME Cancun - All Inclusive - Adults Oriented

Check in very fast, they welcomed us with glass of champagne and give us free ocean view room upgrade. The room was very clean, modern and perfect size. The pool was a great feature with the nice cabanas which were very comfortable. The drinks were great but a bit high priced. The best feature was the breakfast you offered. Great selection of foods and drink. Breakfast was a bit expensive but with such a great variety we didn't mind much. Great hotel, I can't wait to comeback!

The hotel staff and management(yes, management came to speak with us!) were more than friendly and not at all intrusive as they tried at every turn to make our stay the best experience we could have. Meals in the hotel restaurants were very good and reasonably priced. I can't say enough about our stay there.

This hotel had great interiors, but the "art gallery opening" hip music playing incessantly was annoying after the first 30 minutes. Everyone of the locals we spoke to, when we told them we were staying at the "ME", remarked how nice it was....well it wasn't. The hotel has no balconies except for the high priced rooms, making it unpleasant to have to go to the pool to enjoy the outdoors. And guess what, there was very limited seating around the pool and you have to pay for a palapa for shade. I'd never go back.

This is probably my best hotel experience ever. The staff was extremely helpful and friendly. Their motto is "anything is possible" which is very true. All requests were responded to quickly and positively. I would go back again and I have every intention of trying the other ME hotels. My only negative is that the double beds seem more like twins.

I have been to other Melia properties but this one I can't stop talking about it. We went down for our anniversary and the service was superb! Perfect for couples, very rarely you will find kids which is great when your trying to cuddle with your love one. They have an adult only pool area which again gives you that private adult atmosphere.Great food, specially the Asian restaurant. The spa was great, had a couple massage and it took us to another level. The ritual of water in the pool of the spa was relaxing, highly recommend it.Great for gay couples as well.

Disappointing, I had to change room 3 times!!!! due to noise. One night by a couple being intimate in the next room. Not to mention the broken AC which froze me out. Also there was no beach, apparently washed away by a hurricaine. Wish they told me this ahead of time.

We went there for 5 nights. Got a room upgrade to ocean view. Everyone at the hotel was fantastic. No complaints. Hotel is very clean. They come to your service very quickly. Food is great. Reasonable prices!! Close to shopping, cab ride away from night life and clubs. Has cool bar in hotel. Fantastic pool!!!!! and very good beach area. water activities next to hotel- jet ski, parasail. Honestly, the hotel is great. NO complaints. I didn't feel like i was in mexico, since the hotel is so modern and nicely decorated. Very hip and cool. The breakfast is fantastic at the buffet. Fresh fruits, eggs, yogurt, crepes, pancakes, anything you can imagine. We loved it!!!!!!!!!!!

The biggest disappointment was that there is no beach at the hotel, despite the wonderful pictures on the hotel's website - a fairly major issue when travelling with children. Whilst we knew it wasn't going to be a family orientated hotel, we had expected the clientele to be mostly discerning adults. How wrong can you be! We felt like we were on an 18-30 holiday, being woken up every hour between 12 and 5am by loud, noisy and even drunken young people. I would not go back to this hotel.

The enterance to the hotel was lovely and dramatic - with "Nip Tuck" music and all. It definetly appeals to the hip crowd, as MTV was filming Real World while we were there and several rap stars stayed there as well. My daughters (23,20) loved the scene. There is NO beach front to speak of...very narrow. The pools are very nice, and the cabanas (the good ones cost approx $35/day) are great. The worst part about the stay was the noise in the halls. The rooms are not sound proof, and the doors gap - so there were around 1" margins on the bottom and side of the door frame to the hall way. The restaurants on site were very good (surprisingly, and we ate one night with friends at the Westin which was lousy). The breakfast buffet is enough for 2 meals. The health club was ok, nothing stupendous, but enough equipment (not space) for a small bunch. The spa was nice, but for the cost and hype the towels were rough and robes kind of cheap. I've seen much better spas. Another neg.= maid staff forgot to clean our rooms one day, and there way no apology or nothing from the desk!! For the deal with airfare that I got on Orbitz it was a great bargain. Additional spa, food, and cabana costs put me up another $900. My daughters really enjoyed it. If you're looking for a real upscale experience tho' - stay at the Ritz or Meridian. Oh -location is good too...walking distance from the mall and not in the thick of downtown!

Poor customer service and no beach.
