Great weekend getaway
It had been 13 years since my last visit to Cancun for pleasure and I was pleasantly surprised at how nice the hotel was kept up. The showers I absolutely loved. The bed was very comfortable and what a view from the room. The food was excellent and the service was great. Very friendly staff and helpful. They can accommodated just about anything.

Enjoyable stay
The staff was friendly and took care of everything imaginable. However, friends who sprung for the VIP floor had it much better, as they had their own concierge. While not necessary during the stay, having a personal concierge does make the stay much more enjoyable, as it is difficult to get reservations at Silk, one of the resort's main restaurants. The room was clean and well organized. The toiletries provided were top notch. The rain shower was great.

Great Getaway for Couples and the Ice and Snow
The hotel was great - Rooms, Pools, Beach, Food, and Service was fantastic - nothing but good things to say. This is a great place to stay if you enjoy relaxing by the pool or beach and great food. We choose the all-inclusive regular package which was great and all was included food, booze, etc - you tipped when you felt you had great service and that was it. What was missing? night life - 1 good night out of 7 - a decent normal dj rocked out the 1 night - the other dj played they same monotone beat and music you will hear throughout the hotel every where you go - this is repetitive beyond all imagination. Again, the hotel, food, pool, and beach was excellent, nothing but great things to say - just nothing to really do at night - no entertainment, the bar was quiet and boring, no decent music just the same monotone beat. For a party place there was no party except the 1 night.

beautiful setting
The hotel is beautiful and well maintained. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The beach and pool are gorgeous. Great location, very convenient to shopping and public transportion to clubs. Overall, the trip was wonderful, the only thing that I wish was better was the food. None of the restaurants were great, one was even disappointing. Two of the restaurants, Salt and Silk, were booked for my entire trip so I don't know if the food is that good or if the seating is very limited but only having had 3 of 5 restaurants sucks to me.

perfect for young couple
I went with my girfriend and 3 other couples and we had a blast. This was my second time staying at the ME. The value of this hotel i feel is great, not that pricey and you feel like VIP. The staff is very nice. Only bad thing i can say about it is that my friends and I love music and the dj kinda sucked at the adult pool. Another negative is that the pool was freezing, we barely went in it but maybe that had to do with the weather. Other than that i would recommend this place for any young couple looking for a trendy miami-ish hotel.
