ME Cancun - All Inclusive - Adults Oriented

I'm 27 and married, but I generally have single friends and party a lot at home. I went to ME with my wife only. It was an okay time, but it would have been much better with friends. I've done the all-inclusive thing a couple times now, and I've noticed some trends. They generally are in no rush to serve you drinks or take your order (even if you tip)... makes sense for a place that wants to make money. For the extra cost, I probably could have just taken a taxi to the Wal-Mart in Cancun and bought plenty of booze and food, and I would have saved about $300. I'd just have to do enough research to find a condo/hotel that has good enough amenities to satisfy the entertainment value. Taxi from the ME would be about $12 USD (04/26/13). Just don't let the concierge book it... go out on the street and grab it yourself. The reason for the high rating was because the hotel itself really is one of the best ones on the beach. I walked up and down the beach and didn't see one hotel that matched in visual aesthetics and number of people out and about having fun.

Hotel was nice but food was not that nothing special. We stayed on the weekend but from Thursday to Sunday and our room was on the 3rd floor just above the lounge/club. I understand it's weekend but the music went on until almost 4am and the bass was so loud and we couldn't sleep at all for whole entire time we were there. We even requested to change the room but because of the weddings that they have and no rooms were available and clerk were so rude. Also bartenders were just ignoring us and serving the people who came after us. I was with my mother and we were not young as the other guests are but they should be nice to the guests. I will never go back to that hotel!! I do not recommend to any elderly people because even it's adult only place, there were only 21 and up but younger than 30. Also the door for the guest rooms were to thin and kids singing after midnight in the corridor and shouting and banging the door in the middle of the night!!! I do not deserve paying this much money to come for my vacation at this hotel. Biggest mistake to stay there. Exterior was pretty bad, walls were peeling... the cabana mattress was ripped. Our drinks didn't come for more than 30 minutes even though after we asked for our drinks again. There are much better hotels there than ME.

This was mine and my boyfriend's second visit to this resort. It is a beach front all inclusive resort. Great food, great staff and safe area. Would and have recommended this to other people.

The food was great! We highly recommend the Mexican cuisine dinner at Beachhouse and the Japanese food at Silk, they are excellent! For the room, it was clean and very comfortable. Sometimes the hallway was noisy because of the design. The con is that the poolside is usually crowded and you must get up early in the morning to get a spot, and it is hard to get umbrella since there is only one guy to service that.

We stayed at ME for 7 days and 6 night and It was truly an amazing experience. We booked Vibe ocean view room, although they offered as level room for extra charge of 200 $ per person. But I do not wanted to spent extra 1000$ just for the room. Few things should be taken care to take more out of ME: Ask room service every time you leave the room for cleaning. Something really needed for 4Star feeling. :) Put your towels on the floor in washroom, if you want them to be changed.(A frequently reported problem in the earlier reviews.) Don't forget to make reservation for your dinner. They got 5 restaurant and sometime they have an open restaurant. My favorite is Beach house. Save money from the upgrading option and use it for tours such as: Aqua fun, Scuba, Chichen itza. Tip: give 20 or 40 Mexican paiso or 5 US $ if you are really happy.

Awesome hotel, consolidated property so no hour long walks to dinner/rooms.

This hotel was so nice! I would go to another ME. Hotel in the future. They did a great job! Loved it!

We had a great time in Cancun. ME Cancun was an ok place to stay. We love the food at the Beach house for both lunch and dinner. For the room, the shower was a little flooded due to the design that was set up. We probably would like to try a different hotel next time to see the difference.

PROS... beautiful clean rooms, fully stocked mini bar, great restaurants with great food. hotel location is great, you're in the middle of everything. very friendly staff (in restaurants). CONS...staff outside restaurants need to be re-trained in customer service, at times you felt as if you were getting in their way. approached at check in and felt "pressured" for time share presentation. they will hound you every morning to have you in one of these meets. good luck with wifi, you will connect to internet only if you re persistent with your device.thin doors in rooms, so you heard everyone walking and talking in the hallways.no casino and no nightly shows. OVERALL... I have been to other countries and all inclusive resorts for MUCH less and much better service. would NOT recommend.

Overall good experience. Staff was friendly and the rooms were clean and comfortable. Great size pool and day beds available by the pool and beach for free (first come first serve, so get there early). Tips are not included in the price. Be careful of the minibar in the room, some snacks were extra and items were not clearly marked to distinguish what was included vs what was extra (although they refill the snacks twice a day, they charge you for the refill). Also some restaurants have a dress code for men (no sandals or cutoff shirts).
