The Live Aqua Cancun is a 371-room, nine-floor oasis on the Yucatan Peninsula. The resort has Mayan-inspired architecture with modern touches. The haute regional cuisine, exotic dining venues, posh bars and lounges and a spa informed by Mayan rituals are nice touches. The hotel bills MB as their top restaurant. I liked Siete much better when they offered their menu and not a buffet. Siete's menu offered authentic Mexican dishes that I have never heard of in the US. Many really interesting flavor combinations. The ceviche was awesome!

Fantastic Experience
There isn't really much negative I can write about my trip to Cancun and stay at Live Aqua. The staff is great, very helpful and extremely friendly, the restaurants are wonderful, the hotel is very clean and modern. It all adds up to a great experience. They have everything I wanted in a vacation. Plus they are right on the beach. The staff really does bend over backwards for you. The all inclusive promise really is all inclusive. After booking through the website, I didn't spend a dime while I was at the hotel, and I could have ordered room service every hour if I wanted. If anyone is considering vacationing in Cancun, make sure you take a hard look at Live Aqua, it is perfect.

When planning your activities, make sure that if you want to be in a small group or away from people that you cover that point with whoever is planning them for you. I wanted to go zip lining and set that up, but then realized the zip lines were at a theme park kind of like a six flags. Had to wait in long lines, etc. I would have rather gone snorkeling or something like that where there aren't a ton of people and kids around

Relaxing vacation!!!
Our stay at live aqua was amazing!! My best friend and I wanted a sunny, relaxing, and laid back vacation and that is exactly what we got. The food was not mass produced and the alcohol was top shelf. I would DEFINITELY go back.

Very Enjoyable Stay
All the facilities, especially the pool, are excellent. The restaurants provided something for everyone. The staff was very friendly and willing to bend over backwards to meet our needs.

Intimate Couples get away
Have been to this hotel before and second time was not quite as good as first time. Food is excellent here but we noticed a change in the variety of food served at the lunch buffet, namely, almost the same menu everyday. Quality of food is beyond most all-inclusives. Service is excellent. If you are looking for an all-inclusive 4-5 night stay this is an excellent choice. The smaller size, adults only, and excellent spa services add to the experience. If you get tired of the food there are plenty of restaurants nearby and across the street at the mall.

One of my favorite hotels in the world
Enjoyed every aspect of the hotel. The food was very good and far better than any all inclusive place I have ever stayed. Room service was prompt and good quality.

Underwhelmed.
Underwhelming.
Hotel itself is beautiful. However, beware..we booked an oceanfront room and what we got was a view that was largely treetop. Intially we were told that we couldn't change rooms because the hotel was full to capacity. Not true - the hotel looked like it was only running at about 50-60%, Complained on day two again and was finally moved to a "real" ocean view room after a half day wait. The food was by far the biggest disappointment. We are from being food snobs ..yet my husband and I were really unimpressed with the food at all of the onsite locations. Long waits, tepid dishes, underspiced foods to dubious tasting fish and beef carpaccio. And I could go on...... Blah!!

Perfect for a relaxing getaway
Our stay could not have been more relaxing. We felt pampered from the moment we walked in the doors to the moment we left. The food was first class, the views beautiful and the staff very efficient and friendly. The next time we take a quick getaway from the kids, this is the first place we will go.
