Dirty beach

The room had alot of sand on the floors, the airconditioning was not cold enough. The housekeeper barely understood english. The beach had a ton of seaweed in it at all times, garbage all over the sand.

the perfect family vacation resort!

we travelled 2 families with kids. had a great time at the resort. the swimming pool is big and wide. the beach is fantastic with the palm trees. the waters are clear and shallow: perfect and safe for the kids to play in. it's a great value for the price. I would recommend to all my friends and people I know. sure, I will come back. D.J

great variety of foods available at the numerous restaurants & buffets right on site. never run out of food! There may be long lines at times due to the large number of guests staying at the hotel at this time of the year. try to go always early! Enjoy!

great family vacation resort

overall, great place with the all inclusive package we got. plenty of restaurants with great food, nice and spacious swimming pool for kids and adults the like. the beach also was fantastic; clear and shallow waters which makes it safe for our kids. we just had a couple glitches: 1- upon arrival, we've been told they don't have a room for us for the first night. they had to send us to another hotel at their cost, including taxis fare. although it was very inconvenient and waste of time, they did compensate us with a free stay for a future visit. that was a generous gesture. the other glitch was the our local contact with Gray Line in charge of setting up our transportation and a sun set cruise. a couple days before the cruise, he had us pay cash and upfront the required docking fees to access the ferry. Later, I realized he purposely didn't gave us a receipt but had me sign it and stored away in a folder. The day of the cruise, we were denied boarding because we didn't have a receipt / boarding certificate the one he held in his possession. they had to call him and wait for him to show up. instead of apologizing for the situation, he immediately jumped up and accused me of losing he receipt that he never gave me. then I realized, it was a set up to pocket the $40 fee I prepaid once the agent at the gate said that the boarding certificate / receipt was as good as cash$$. At last, after some arguing, we ended up getting on board but practically there were just a few seats left for us; 2 families with kids. Complete disappointment. anyhow, despite these 2 incidents, we had a great vacation and our kids had a lot of fun.

Very busy place at this time of the year. So, show up early or make prior reservations at some restaurants. otherwise, you can end up sitting in an infinite lines.

Cancun Trip

The hotel clerk here gave us false information. When we walked in to book our room. The clerk told us they were booked and had no more rooms available. He told us they had another hotel that was more for adults, and their were rooms available there. Me and my friend thought this was a great idea since there were so many kids around. The clerk took us and two other ladies to the other resort called Oasis Sens. It was a beautiful resort. Little did we know it was LGBT friendly resort. Me and my friend had no problem with that, but the hotel clerk could have mentioned it to us. It is common courtesy. The clerk also never told our concierge driver that we had moved to the other hotel. Overall the change to the other hotel was not a complete waste as we made the best of it. I would not recommend this resort to singles, because they will just end up sending you to the hotel we went to as they did to two other group of people we met at the Oasis sens. However, I would recommend this resort to families especially with kids.

family getaway

Enjoyed our stay, elevators could use an upgrade, and would be nice to have a coffee maker in room. Food selection was good, each buffet offered a different choice, Sushi bar could use a few more tables, or the option to take down by the pool.

Just being in Cancun made it bareable!

Ok where do I start. The staff is curteous and attentive. The rooms were average. Did not like that the building itself had 2 elevators that could only fit like 5 people at a time. Had to walk up 5 stories of stairs about 35 times in the 5 days we were there. The food had no taste or variety. The service in the restaurants or buffets in the hotel was either slow or non existent. The food selection was poor and repetitive. Everything had no taste. Even the orange juice tasted like it was watered down. Also did not like the fact that I could not pay for a late checkout. The normal checkout is at 12 and I needed to checkout at 3. The lady in the front counter said she could not give me a late checkout even if I paid because they were completely booked. I doubt that everyone checks in right at 3pm. She did not even make an effort to talk to her supervisor or anything. Just a blatant no. Only thing that made this vacation bareable was that we were in Cancun. Blue clear calm waters and white sands. WIll definitely return to Cancun but no to the Oasis.
