Grand Oasis Cancun All Inclusive

The location and food are good. The beach is great. The bathroom is not clean. The furniture is simple. The room service is good.

I have been traveling for 30 years throughout the U.S. and Carribean and have never been inclined to write a review but this was by far the worst resort I have ever stayed at. The food was atrocious, bordering on inedible. Apparently this is the off-season (December) so only about 1/2 of their advertised restaurants were open but I don't think it would have mattered. We tried a different one each time hoping the next one would get better and it didn't. I won't go so far as to say the staff is rude but they certainly weren't friendly either nor very helpful. Forget getting your minibar stocked or clean towels unless you manage to see the employees in the hall and ask them directly. And this is even after tipping the maid! If you have the opportunity to "purchase" the U.S. credit to use while at the resort, DON'T. It's just their coupon booklet which was practically useless. We spent $49 U.S. dollars at the time of booking and it ended up saving us less than $5 to "rent" a lock for the safety deposit box. If you wanted to use it towards a massage, you could get about $18 off but it would still cost you $60 plus a tip so where was the savings? They make it sound like you can use the entire $300 all at once. The rooms were dirty and smelled musty which is true of a lot of resorts in Cancun because of the constant moisture. I will give them a thumbs up on their pools, they were very nice and clean and the beach area at this resort is fantastic. It's just a shame that they don't put in the effort to make the experience better. Also, if you like your sleep at night, good luck. When the bars close, the young crowd brings the party back to their rooms/halls. Between 2:00am and 4:00am were the worst. One day the showers were scalding and the next day, there was no hot water at all. There's more but I think you get the picture. I would never go back or recommend this resort to anyone.

Great shows, but cleanliness and comfort need to improve. It looked old and not well maintained. I wouldn't go back.

The food was great and I would definatelly come back but must stay at the pyramid area all the other sites were too far from the restaurants and the rooms were much better

Went with a group of my friends as a high-school graduation gift. I feel like it was perfect for this occasion, as it felt like a bigger party scene, the whole time my buddies and i were saying "Man, i'm happy i'm not with my family here". Now having said that, you wouldn't want to be with your family if you were doing the things we were doing, but I am sure it could be used for that purpose if you are looking for a get-away. My only real complaint was the food, being all-inclusive that is common though.

Best trip I've had in a long time. Room was clean, had everything I needed, and was facing the beach, which was a patio jump away! The ocean water was the cleanest and bluest I've ever seen...wish I could've stayed a couple more days just for the beach. The resort itself was pretty good - food was actually really good for an all-inclusive resort...more than enough restaurants to select from and 24-hour room service for late night munchies. The large pool area was pretty nice too - pool side bars and daily pool activities (not for kids lol)! :D All in all, I would recommend this resort and would stay here again. My only gripe would be with the reception desk...terrible service (they make you wait too long and aren't very friendly or helpful). Took my friend 20min to be helped and there wasn't even anyone in line...that's why I gave the staff a 3-rating.

The hotel was great me and wife en the laws we love the stay on the hotel, and for the price it was well worth it :) very beutifull play ,food is ot that tasty maybe e ouse im dominican and i eat with lot sazon but the rest of the hotel was perfect

Beutifull location and great staff,the food was ok and the price for the thing that u can do at the hotel was very worf it the fron desk was very nice and the ppl workers inside the hotel the only little thing that i just was a little confort was the room and i thing that may be becous we took the standar room, i recomend that any one that gone stay en gran oasis book a hight room :)

Our first time in Cancun, and we will visit again. To be a three star hotel... it was a great. I was actually expecting the room to be broken down- but it was an ordinary room. Food was fine. I actually like the garlic shrimp from the cocoa restaurant. The hotel is on the Cancun strip- and it takes no time to get to other resorts, the party life, or the malls. Its only a bus ride away- I would stay 15 minutes the most. "So no need to take a cab". Bus ride is a $1 in USD. I like that we were also able to visit the oasis resort- next door to us. We went to oasis to check out the coyote loco(bar/club), and on the Gran Oasis side we went to the upside down club. I wouldn't recommend this resort to families- its more for couples and single people. The grounds keeping was kept well, and the staff was awesome. I would definitely come back to this resort. I got what my money was worth!

The hotel was amazing. The entire staff the works here is excellent and so nice. I felt so appreciated and everyone with me loved the service. There is so much to do and the pools and beach were beautiful. Everything was clean and there was a lot of space. Never had any problems or complaints. Food was delicious and they had so much variety. I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone going to Cancun. Thank you Grand Oasis for an awesome and unforgetable vacation.
